Here speaks a biker of national speed limit breaching experience I suspect :D

 errr well there was this one ocassion on my little MBX80 where I managed (unbeknown to me) to overstretch the throttle cable. Thought the brakes had failed as I approached a sharp hairpin , and in my errrr " Wisdom" decided to wap it down a few gears and let the engine do the braking - Monster wheelie ensued and corner negotiated with eyes closed :giggle: - other than that paragon of virtue of a bike :notme:

Hope arm is all healed up. Would you not miss the KTM too much if you sold it? Looks way too much fun in that pic.

Lovely Bike  - bet she sounds beautiful too.

Thanks Folks

Give me a couple of days and a dry day I'll do do a short vid of her running for you, like to start her up every week over winter

Thanks. Unfortunately my arm is not very good and will never be. I broke several bones and ripped some of the "strings" that keeps the wrist stable..

So my arm cant stand any more offroad driving.. I will try and find a KTM 690 SM/R instead since i really love the bike and it has an amazing engine.. :)

NICE! hope you had a good ride.

I live on the edge of Wolverhampton so its easy to get into the Shropshire countryside no motorways just nice A and B roads not much traffic

gets me away from SWMBO so I can chill out

Thought I'd post this up...............it's sort of how I mushed my leg and ankle..........(see earlier post in this thread).

Still eight weeks down only 30 or so more before I can get back on her, lol.

I feel for you mate, awesome machine by the way, raced against loads of these in the big bike rallies over here in sunny wales and they are incredible.

Keep her for bit and and wait till your fully fit before even thinking of selling, you never know!

I know I'm not selling mine until the doc puts it in writing that my leg and ankle will never allow me to ride, till that day I'm going to work my nuts off to get fit again!

Yea how is your recovery coming along now? Mine is still F#@king dog poo about to move onto 3rd hospital in 3rd different country to start from scratch again to try and get next bit sorted, loosing the plot big time now.

I'm good mate, getting there very, very slowly.

Looking forward to seeing my surgeon next week to get a better idea of where we are with recovery as it's still as bloody painful now as it was after the operation.

So what's the score with your recovery then? 3rd hospital and starting again?

The very very slowly bit I know all about :D It does take time its slowest part of body to recover as the least flesh around fairly substantial bone mass. Mine is getting the metal out and muscle on front of leg has something wrong with it detached and got big bumps in it etc so 2 operations in 1 for that lot. First hospital was chinned off for being very oh ahh, ummm, well we think its fine. Second one bang on a year after almost to the day about metal out said "lets do this" to me then 15 min later a senior doctor said no do one until September. Late July/early Aug I asked for an appointment to get back there in time for September as I was going on some courses appointment was near half way through Oct I got. Went in another doc this time said firstly "what do you want" then with muscle problems etc said "yea we can do that all together, we need notes from hospital that put it in first. Then once we have them you can be in within a week.". They got the details of other hospital from me and were to contact them, also said I got everything from hospital when I left and my current GP has it all so they said they would contact them first to see if it was enough info. A week goes by I have heard nothing im waiting to go in at any moment I call hospital that did OP and spoke to their records department they said no one has even enquired about me they log all calls etc and if they did they could fax or email it straight away but I already had all records anyway, also didnt contact GP. I called to chase up hospital and they said they are waiting for other hospital to send them still...... I pointed out I have just spoken to them and story started to waver a little....... Gave them the direct line and extension to specific department I had just spoken to and PA for doc who did OP. I get my GP who I gave copies of all records to, to send them on which they did 2 more weeks go by and nothing, I call again to be told yet we got them its all we needed but the doc says its too soon for OP she needs you to come and speak to her but she is only in on 21st and 28th I do not know which date she can see you I will call when she gets back to me....... Still no one has gotten back to me complaint already made. Next move is going to UK for NHS to sort this crap out in pain 24/7 not as bad as at time and for ensuing 4/5 months but still unreal at times and means I cannot go to sleep at nights running on empty. Plus because of muscle thing I have had to stop my physio since late sept early oct can only do stretches. I had made great progress all be it slowly but its 1 step forward 300.45 miles back.

To date from when the NHS first got involved and 3 days after operation when I contacted them needing to make an appointment for stitches and staples out cast replaced etc they said soonest they could get me one was 5 weeks!!!!!! Absolute frigging joke! Having to go to A&E to que for hours for stitches out etc collapsing in the place too and DVT........ really not reassured about going anywhere near them again. Can just be hit and miss I know people who had similar injuries around same time 100 miles away were getting top notch treatment my local trust physio immediately home visits the lot.. I got 4 appointments inc first physio after 3 months.......

OMG..........I don't know what to say mate, I feel so bloody sorry for you!

I'm getting mine one on the NHS at present, but I can swap to private if i wish, as my firm will pay for it.

I'm giving the NHS the benifit at the moment as they are doing ok.

I'm just gob smacked at the trouble you are having.

Keep us posted and good luck getting it fixed.

I think I'll just shut up and get on, as compared to you I'm having a breeze.

Ok took bike out today and made a vid , enjoy

Beautiful bike - Thanks for posting the Vid -sat here looking out at driving rain and that put a smile back on my face

Blimey Guys - just reading all your posts about injuries and operations - wishing you all a speedy recovery!!!

Planning to go to the Bike Show at the NEC tomorrow - anyone else going/been this year ?

Having said previously I'm not a "Fairing" girl - have to confess I do like the look of the new Kawasaki ZX- 6R - so might have me a little look and sit on.

Wanted to go last year but leg was too bad still and I had only just showed my face back in work on short shifts. :D Also had VIP tickets for the German F1 and accommodation sorted but that got wasted too :(. I wanted to go this year and said I would this time last year but in the light of day its just too expensive to get over from here at moment.

** Next year ** :D

ps. if you see anything of interest and take any pics remember us in here :)

lol don't worry I am all over this nonsense at mo my injuries were definitely lesser than yours but its a shame the way the after care stuff has gone ..... Private hospital did the first op and bar NHS annoying me like I said above rest has been private hospitals paid for by work...... NHS SAVE ME!!!!!
