Currently bikelss at the moment, mainly due to a lack of funds and a garage, only had the three bikes all great to ride in their own way.

1. Honda VFR400R Great first bike, nice and light with good bottom end power.

2. Suzuki GSXR600SRAD Completely different from the VFR dindn't feel as fast, until I looked at the speedo then whoops best slow down.

3. Suzuki TL1000R Loved this bike loads of power and a great noise even better with the race cans fitted.

Haven't got many of my older bikes - but here's one of me riding the XJ600 wearing the most ridiculous boots - clearly fashion before safety

A few of my mates had 350 LC`s not that impressed One mate had a KH 500 (custom paint job) man that could wheely! and a mate with a copper kettle

Alan - the Kawa KH500 was an awesome bike - sounded fab and like you say wheelied for England. Did try and kick start one once - hysterical  - jumped up and down on the kickstart for ages - but didn't really have enough weight behind me and when I did manage to turn the engine , the bleeding kickstart whacked me in the leg and sent me flying

God bless - electric starts that's what I say

A friend of mine is currently restoring a KH500. It sounds wicked!

God, I miss those two strokes.

Never had one but just love the smell and sound! :)

He must have too much time on his hands... He's just got his hands on a Z900 and a Z650 to keep the KH company

Nice one, hadn't seen that one. Your vid made me think of this one :D

Yes they are, but only when it's warm and sunny.

Fair weather bikers eh! ;):D

Oh, curly, I agree with Fubar. Nice list :)

So which, if any, do you wish you had kept?

For me it was the RRN Blade

Did my test on a CG125

Spend a while on a XJ750

Then put 60,000 miles on a TDM850

292_18334831011_9054_n.jpg

When that needed replacing I test rode a range of all rounders from a VFR to a K1300s, end eventually found the best thing to replace a TDM with was a TDM :D

I love the pics I take those ones too, bike with different scenery.

I started with a CB200 and passed my test on that.

Then moved to CX500 with uprated forks and Marzochi shock absorbers - actually handled after that.

15 year gap then bought one of the first Suzuki S650S in the country.

Made redundant so sold that and bought a Triumph Trident 900 with the silver blueprinted engine.

Sold that and replace with a Triumph Sprint 900, twin headlight half faired version.

Work bikes: Bandit 1200, Hornet 600, CB750 & numerous CB500's and a few Deauvilles.

(I was a DAS instructor 2000-2004).

Currently have no motorised bike, but have a road bicycle and a mountain bike.

The girlfriend always complains that I go away on a bike trip and come back with photos of bikes in front of scenery, and food in front of my mates. So I bought a Gopro...

They were all brill bikes at the time but so different, going from the cbr to the R1 was night and day in the power, but the gixer 1000 was another leap forward again pulled your arms out of the sockets.

the most dispointing one was the MV great to look at but no quicker than a 600 and everyone wanted to race you on the road lol

FANTASTIC vid loved it well put together NICE! I was recording my last tour to do a time lapse of the coast of Ireland Dublin to Dublin but camera didn't boot up one morning was a bad omen....... a couple of hours later on the gentlest of bends on a new tar&chippings surface (unsigned) front wheel went at fairly low speed :wonder:. Started in Holland and was about 2000km into the tour "nuts!"

My_First_Leg_2a.jpg

Bike was unable to carry on and was written off, leg was also stung a bit and I scratched my elbow. The power of some good leathers and boots (and paramedics/doctors&nurses) saved the leg from being detached . I had already bought the new bike and I was going to change over to it 3/4 way round the trip but was able to ride it round the yard and onto its trailer after 3 months before I even started learning to walk again :sun:.

Apologies if you've already seen this - but think this guy is awesome
