Ok I know Briskoda is a car orientated forum and I am not trying to take anything away from that hence this is in "Off Topic" I just thought as we bikers occasionally run into each other on here it would be nice to have a clearer picture of who the Briskodian bikers are and what we ride. Any pics and mods listed would also be great.

We have the tech shed and photography sections too that are not specific to cars so I hope this is ok.

Any prospective bikers out there looking for some advice, guidance or general inspiration feel free to ask I am yet to meet a biker who would not be more than happy to pass on any knowledge they have gained over the years.

My first bike was a 2000 Kawasaki ZZR 600 E7 (stock bar double bubble / alarm)

My second bike was a 2002 Suzuki GSXR1000 K1 (must have been late registered) (stock bar arrow indicators and R&G crash bungs / alarm)

My third bike was a Kawasaki ZZR 1200 C1H (RIP) (Oxford 2010 heated grips / Givvi racking and Kappa luggage / Double bubble / 12v socket / alarm)

***EDIT***

Adding my new bike in here too ZZR1400 traded in as per later in thread.
2012 Kawasaki Z1000SX (ABS) Touring - Brand new out of the box :) tri tankpads pannier protection kit / nose and fender protection kit. More to follow.

***EDIT***

Following having sold the moped above as per later in thread, a dry day must have a bike moment got me this. A little more suited to having moved back to NI and it's crap roads.
2002 Kawasaki Ninja 636 A1P - Pretty stock bar tank pad and Akrapovic exhaust. Some chavy bits like tinted headlight covers / indicators etc all removed.

I passed test on a Honda CG 125 (7bhp) then got my ZZR600 (100bhp) the next day benefit to that was im a fairly sensible person not one of the crazy few that give us a bad name and twisted the throttle more and more within my limits as experience grew. But WHAT a difference :D

No bike now cycle instead, Bike 1 , MZ 150

2,Honda 185

3, Motto Guzzi v 50 11

4, Honda cbx

5, Motto guzzi Le Mans ( Black Gold)

6, Honda vt 250 F , Bike crash before made insuring the one before too expensive

Then got knocked off hit and run , ( joyriders) from the side, 25 mph , pushed to other side off the road and got hit head on by another car at 40 , I survived but the bike did not, Policeman says he has never seen so much carnage, and only a bust up knee!

Passed bike test (direct access) in 97 as always wanted to, but the various commitments meant I couldn't get one!

Finally got an SV650S in 1999 as a reasonable first bike.

Got bored of it after a year and got a Kawasaki ZX6R J1.

After many happy years on the ZX changed to a Triumph Sprint ST in 2008 (Alarm, heated grips, panniers, topbox and hugger).

Now can't justify changing the bike having got the new vRS but would really like the Ducati Multistrada (RG1200S too common, Triumph Explorer not yet proven).

lol yea the BMW is a great bike but Ewan and Charlie fan boys have wrecked it for the serious people out there who don't want to use it the odd weekend a year or to commute on, a shame tbh. The Triumph I have had a good butchers at too looks an impressive machine Ducati are so expensive and Audi have just bought them I would wait and see on their future developments if the VAG money makes some sweeping changer or not to boost the brand.

Wow that's not good :( unfortunately a hazard we all know about and do our best to avoid "cadgers". Did they ever catch the driver?

I tested the RG1200GS before getting the Sprint and it is a great bike just very pricey and sooo common these days. When I first say the Triumph Explorer I though I was looking at a BMW! Should be a good bike just needs to bed in and sort out any issues as well as come down in price. As said with VAG buying Ducati they will hopefully be able to improve on their reliability issues.

Some good prices in the used GS market but I can't help but cringe every time I see one on the road with their now almost obligatory tourtatech boxes! Price new is a joke for them! I loved my ZZR1200 was a great all rounder and much forgotten about bike may well end up hunting down another.

No stolen from the pub car park straight out of there , no lights and straight into me, quite a few people thought I was dead as Iflew about 25 feet in the air, I remember 2 girls screaming he`s dead! They found it abandend in Nottingham, before the days of Helecoptors and cameras , shame as only 4 of that bike in the country then and mine the only one in Yorkshire

Passed my test in 1996 and had the following bikes in order

Kymco Zing 125

Honda CB600F Hornet

Kawasaki ZX7R P2

Both for sale if anyone takes a fancy to them.

Had the 7R P2 modded, akrapovic race system, ohlins front springs and 5w oil, ohlins rear shock, dynojetted stage 2,ohlins steering damper and AP 6 pot calipers on ebc race discs.

DRZ is heavily modded too,was run in scottish supermoto championship for 1 season so is well sorted.

2 very clean looking bikes there you shouldn't have bother shifting them. Now the more important question what is replacing them??

Undecided tbh mate, might take a year out from biking as a lot of my pals have sold theirs and got married/mortgaged/children :D

Then again,i could be tempted with a new Husqvarna 900 Nuda....its an absolute beast

Every time I take the bike out I decide not to sell it again and again its killing me 220bhp is emotional!

Started with a Piaggio Zip 50

zip.jpg

Then a Gilera GP800, Which was sold a couple of weeks ago after 3 yrs ownership.

gp800infront.jpg

Now have a Brand new Sinnis Matrix 125.

Keen motorcyclist.

First Bike was a Honda H100s.

then had a tuned Honda MBX 80 - twin front discs - Fab stoppies on that one :giggle:

Had an Suzuki SB 200 - - hideous 4 speed box - real rattler. But fine to get me to college.

Honda 250 Superdream - -so dull I think I only rode it twice

One of my Favourites - Yamaha XJ550 - loved that bike.

Yamaha XJ 600 - much prefered the 550 - prefer a naked bike.

Kawasaki ER5 - ok

Honda CB 500 with ABS

Yamaha 600 Fazer

Currently - Suzuki 650 Gladius - which I adore. Do love the sound of a V-twin

Always wanted a Yamaha RD 350 LC or a Kawasaki KH 350 triple - may keep an eye out on ebay.

C

Hobby motorcyclist.

Mine is based on a Suzuki GS1000 from 1982, but most parts are from a Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Also, since I have a mate at SBP (Swedish National MOT testing), its been registered as a 49cc moped. Hence the reason I get away with it. Since I don't have A1 or A certification. Don't worry, it still goes like I lit a fire under its arse. Just a matter of mix-up in the paperwork. :D

I'd upload a pic, but its somewhere in northern Sweden atm. I lent it to a mate.
