hi, ive recently bought a 52 plate mk1 vrs 1.8 turbo and it came with what im told is a full stainless steel de cat exhaust, the only problem is that i prefer my cars to be totally original and would prefer the standard exhaust, i know people on here are often looking for these sort of exhausts and can pay a lot of money for them, the one on my car has a twin backbox and does make a nice sound and with this on is faster than any other standard octavia vrs and its the only modification so it obviously gives some performance increase as well, i just want to do a straight swap for somebodys original vrs exhaust. let me know if anyones interested.

are you sure the exhaust is the only modification, as an exhaust alone will result in no change to performance. A vRS with a decat will almost certainly have been remapped to get the most out of it despite what you may have been told.

Imnnot too sure, the guy i bought i off said thats the only thing hed done to it anyway, id just prefer the standard exhaust because i dont like the loud ones they bring too much attention

Hi all

Decats do open up the performance though. Well on turbocharged engines anyway. It Can increase the power by a good 25%. The turbo will spool up alot quicker and increase the torque. NA engines it wont do that much.

Have you still got this exhaust?
