Finally got all the bolts out of the turbo this lunchtime before running out of time. So oil and coolant feeds to disconnect, then try to get it past the downpipe. Really don't want to take the manifold off to bring it upwards.

Oh and I snapped my dipstick tube. Doh.

Got the turbo loose at last.

It's not coming out without the exhaust or the manifold coming off.

I suspect I would also need to remove the strut brace to bring it upwards, so exhaust it is.

It's not that long since I changed the oil. But it's pretty black!

Wish i had a nice warm garage to work in, I would attempted alot more work on the car if it didnt have to leave on the drive over night :(

It is tempting! But I have a 2.5 year-old and by the time we get her fed, bathed and in bed, then make the dinner for SWMBO and me (she's working as well as full time study!) then I just want to sit down and watch telly!

Fortunately I have a nice garage where the car can sit, and use of the wife's car

I can't stop thinking about it all the time though. The dog woke me up at 4am today and I found myself laying in bed mentally listing the next things to do
