Tried out my new Chemical Guys Black Light polish. I recommend it!! I'm very happy with the results. It was easy to apply and buff off. After leaving for 15 minutes I expected it to be difficult to sh

Finally got around to painting the washer bottle cap. Also tidied up the vac pipework a bit.

Would it be wrong to paint the manifold black? Just a thought.

Intake mani ?

Do it

Could even pick out the "abd racing" inset lettering out in a different colour - red maybe ?

Good idea although I would go blue to match hoses.

Your going to need to log the car once fitted as these hybrids from cr are very hit and miss with parts and hard to map without it being on the rollers or logged !!

Make sure the preload is set right on the actuator as this can be a big issue if it hasn't been setup right !!

Oops!

Drove about 600km this weekend. Just cruising on the main highway, obeying speed limits. Managed 7.9l/100km (36mpg). Not bad!

Better parking fail pics. Really want to get on with some mods, don't have time!

Och buddy, that looks close.

Any damage to splitter?

Sent from my Galaxy S3.

  • Author

I don't have a splitter - yet :D

It was just touching, no damage done.

This is not ideal.

And is this normal? Bottom intercooler pipe.

So I realised at some point I have swapped the pipes to my catch can so it has been plumbed the wrong way around. Doh!

It was still collecting stuff but presumably not as much as it should have.

Removed the catch can and pipes after this but forgot to take another pic. I have some new AN fittings on the way and I'm moving the catch can again :)

I hope I know what I'm doing!

  • Author

Oh dear the state of my catch can! It's full of icky gunk!

Need to work out how to rinse it out.

Waiting for some nice new fittings before I plumb it back in.

Manifold is mostly painted and looks great. Waiting for some other shinies before I can refit that.

Haven't dared look at the turbo yet :)

And I need to get that intercooler pipe fixed.

Car is going to be off the road for a while at this rate.

very nice. where did you get that inlet manifold?

ah cheers, any difference or is it just a bling part?

ABD claim 12-20 horsepower with supporting mods.

All I can tell you is I gained 18 wheel horsepower by adding this manifold, FMIC and a 2.5" exhaust.

This is going to look cool.

Now struggling with a bolt to a bracket under the turbo. Seems to be welded in.
