  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Rear fits PERFECT.

Looking good mate :)

So these part numbers are for the FL estate - is there a different part number for the rear hatch badge or is it the same? I want to fit to a mk2 2011 FL hatch.

Front: 1ST 853 601A AUL
Rear: 5JO 853 621A AUL

Thanks :)

Agreed they do look trick....... If they do fit the 'MK2 FL Hatch' I'll order a set tomorrow and get mine changed over too

The part numbers above are the part numbers I used for my 09 estate. From a skoda dealer here in belfast (ish). I am not sure if they fit the hatch.

I'm sure the front must be the same though? Saying this the front does not fit perfect, as in its the right size, but the grommets on the back of the badge don't line up with the holes. I snapped the plastic grommets off and just glued the bugger on. Beware also, the sticky tape on these new badges are worse than useless, so you will need to add an adhesive of your choice.

The rear, on an estate, is a perfect like for like swap. Holes and grommets match up, just pushes on perfectly lined up, with a bit of super glue for good measure! :)

DMB Graphics will do whatever you need. :)

Cheers, personally it seems a far better option as I'd suspect the newer badges will have the same issue.

The new badges ooze quality and are nothing like the old ones

They will not have the same issue at all.....

BTW These part numbers also fit the hatchback...perfectlly

Ahh good news :)

So you didn't have to break off the pins on the front as per comments above? And is yours a FL?

Yes..FL 2010 model........you do need to break the pins on the front badge...but not on the rear one

Hey guys

I'm still following this thread even though I fitted my badges to my 2012 Fl Vrs hatch some months ago now but am a little confused as to why people would still be ordering badges that the need the lugs breaking off the back to make them fit as if you see my. Previous post you do not need to order these as the correct ones for the Fl hatch have been available sometime now hope this helps

Well after reading every post on this topic for the last few months and still being left a little confused as to what would or wouldn't fit my 2012 octavia Vrs probably more down to me being a bit thick to be fair I ended up speaking to Rainworth Skoda who informed me that they now make the new front and rear badges for my exact car which have the lugs in the correct place and fit perfectly. I can now confirm this after fitting both new front and rear badges today. The part numbers were as follows

5J0853621AAUL

5J0853621AUL

Both cost £18.99 each delivered

Only took 2 days to arrive and look absolutely fantastic on my white car with black magic front grill hope this helps anybody that is still a little confused

Paul

Is that £18.99 each, or £18.99 for the pair? Sorry, trying to clarify as the above part numbers are priced @ £26 for the pair.

I thought the government were trying to cull badges, at least in Somerset?
