Hi all,

I run the car on LPG so would like to advance the ignition timing of the 1.4 petrol. No distributor, so can this be done another way?

I have an eBay VagCom cable if that will help.

its all controlled automatically by the ECU in software and can only be altered by remapping the whole ecu.

Since the Fabia does not have a DECS ecu then this software will not do anything, and its unlikely to be compatible with a VAG-COM cable.

What do you recommend then? ... I want to remap my Fabia too.

Not enjoying the inflexibility of this VAG platform. It seems like I'm going to have to go down the CAM signal fudger route.

Could you explain a bit? .. I am really interested in this but I have no background what so ever and my car is just like yours.

I'm going to have to fudge the signal the crank angle sensor is sending to the petrol ECU.
