Plus don't forget this is a forum, where usually people come for advice with problems they are having so wouldn't let that make up your final decision. You could go onto a BMW forum (not sure why I picked on bm) and see their users posts about problems and think hmmm best stay away from them.

No probs with engine or oil usage on my car, runs well. I agree with Sharkrider it is the best car I have owned, it is addictive to drive.

I find excusess to go out in it, the biggest buzz is the look on other drivers faces when you leave them standing at lights.

I would go for White with the black pack. Dark alloy wheels.

As above, its a fantastic car. I've had zero problems with it (so far touch wood lol).

I went for White/Black Roof/dark chrome wheels and it looks great.

Imo its a fantastic car, no problems at all with mine so far (never say never) also (touch wood). i have white/white/dark chrome.

Agree with above posts, I have white with black roof & wheels. Also made the most of the previous vat offer and selected most of the options list.

I've got a red one with white roof and white wheels and I love it.

I know the forum is a great place to discus problems, chiefly the oil usage some people experience which is sadly spoiling their car enjoyment, but happy to see many positive posts on this thread!!!

Your car looks fantastic!

Mine was plainer all white/dark chrome and faultless other than using oil for the first 10k.

It only went when the family outgrew it. Miss it madly.

It's not the full throttle performance that I miss, as the Octy is ok there, it's the part throttle supercharger urge response I miss.

I have one in white with black pack, 10 thousand miles and no problems yet(touch wood) I would defiantly have to say its the best car I have had, and theres so much you can do to it.

I cna only recommend the Fabia vRS mk2!

Cheap on the gas, cheap to insure and cheaper then it siblings!

And colorwise? Green/black all the way!

I have the red with black roof and dark chrome wheels, same as Wilko251088 it's a fantastic car, same as already been said good fuel economy, cheap insurance, fair tax and puts a big smile on you face when you drive it hard. The only minus is the oil consumption which on mine is not too bad but still higher than i would have liked, although i have only done 3,500 miles from new so it should get better.

I think the best colour combo is Race blue, black roof and black alloys, but unfortunately ,Race blue wasn't an option when I ordered mine, So, I opted for the next best option: Candy white, black roof and silver alloys. ( Wasn't a fan of the black pack initially, but this has grown on me a little. )

Any good??? You are kidding me, it's a fantastic motor!! 28,000 miles and going strong. The only issues I have had were all down to the wrong spark plugs being fitted, but since ,no problems at all.

Not used hardly any oil, the power is amazing, you really would be hard pressed to find performance this good any cheaper.

It does appear that one or two have had issues with the vRS mk2 but I guess I have been one of the lucky ones. Don't let it put you off

Happy with my choice of green with black roof and black wheels. Great value with the 'VAT free' deal. Can't think of a same price hatchback I would rather have at the current time. DSG gearbox is fantastic and the car is enjoyable to drive whether commuting in traffic or on a dawn raid on traffic-free B roads. Petrol consumption is exceeding expectations. I do have high oil consumption but its within Skoda limits and will hopefully improve with a few more 1000 miles on the clock. Still see very few vRS Mk2's on the road which is fine by me.

Perfectly happy as well... Apart from a few obvious cases which can't be argued, some people just never get on with a car from day one and that amplifies any weaknesses of the car, making it sound a lot worse than it actually is. Also, why would you ever lose your time and search for a forum just to write "hey my car runs fine" If all went well? Regular forum members like us don't count!

Regarding color combinations, my view is that the vRS loses 50% of its beauty as soon as you get any other wheels than black, it just has weak lines and shape which don't benefit at all from standard-looking alloys such as the silver ones (silver with a touch of black inside). Once you got the black wheels on the whole car looks a lot meaner and sportier and given the fact it starts from quite a low-looking profile it still doesn't cry out loud but just makes people take a second look at it, it's happened a few times with mine. It's also a fact that in many other cars, (mazda mx-5, astra gtc to quickly name a few) black wheels are usually offered only on the Sport versions and cost a lot more, that certainly tells something about the effect they have on the looks. The black roof is a must as well for me and then for the main color I was between white and blue, they both look fantastic although rally green would also look special If you could get along with that colour. To sum it up, it's way more decisive imho to pick black wheels and roof than the main body colour.

Amen.

Corrosion on the Dark Chrome alloys is the only problem I've had (hope I'm not tempting fate here!) - now forgiven.

I just wanted a quickish small car to pootle about in and it fits the bill perfectly. Drove a manual last week and thought it was a pain in the arse :giggle: - and that's from someone who was militantly anti auto.
