Holiday Fuel consumption. 1.9pd

Featured Replies

Well impressed was on holiday up in Newtonmore(Nr Aviemore) from Aberdeen.

Route was Aberdeen - Ballater - Granton - Aviemore - Newtonmore and back.

Relaxed drive, occasional overtake, steady cruising approx 60mph.

65+ MPG

Normal commute 22 miles per day average speed 20mph. Stop start traffic.

50+ MPG

Comfortable and smooth although I think spring rates are odd.

Seems to "lurch" into some corners - a little bit skittish.

Not to bothered as it may be tyre related (Michelin ES) will change all four come October.

Its amazing how much extra cash I have in pocket last car X-Trial 2.5 Auto = 22mpg.

Loved the EXY but the costs to run were getting ridiculous.

Isn't the mpg great on the 1.9 TDi? And you get that lovely diesel motor rumble soundtrack too!

Is that fill to fill ?? How many miles to a tank ?

Over 500 normally but holiday tank over 600 fill to fill. I pause after first click and top up for a couple of clicks on pump then stop filling.

Have not needed to fill yet so will confirm later.

I does rattle a bit (Loads) like an 80s taxi but mileage is great. Loads of torque as well.

I try to drive as smoothly as possible it can be entertaining. Fast in fast out!!

2.0 TDi Scout best mpg 604 mile to a tank

I have given up properly recording the milage, L&K est. Big improvement after an alignment last year.

The trip computer figures (not sure how honest they are?) for the trip back from south of France up to St Omer was in the low 50's - 51/52 ish. I was in a hurry hence the autoroute, most of the time cruise set about 80per. I think the overal home - Luberon - home was about 3.400 miles and the milage mid 50's, 55 - 56 or so.

Cheapest A/route fuel was around Dijon, a couple of Aires posting €1.43/l which was better than the €1.56/l both to the south and north.

Details from excel sheet. Looks like the onboard computer is optimistic! Not completely accurate but I'm still impressed.

Edited to try to get format right ............I give up

On my 170 cr Superb I've had trip readings of 60.3mpg but as a fill to fill its more likely to do 49mpg over a tank way less that the car thinks its doing
