Skoda Roomster review

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm getting into doing car reviews and have a few test cars available for me to evaluate; I've already done one review on the Roomster and just wanted to know if there is anyway you feel that I should improve, any feedback is welcome. :)

Thanks in advance!

Never see a car being washed in a review before and if you go to the trouble of showing this why not point out the difficulty of washing the roof without steps for the average height owner.

At the end you show a shot with the model badge and yet you do not mention the difference in specs that a Roomster 2 would have over others in the range.

Clothing continuity, fine you did not shoot the whole thing on the same day, but try to wear the same clothes for each take, it makes editing easier and the viewer is not so distracted by what you are wearing.

Repetition, there were a couple of phrases repeated during the review which gave the feeling of didn't you just say that?

A bit of wind noise on some of the voiceover which could have been removed in post production with a replacement track.

Maybe some market segment comparisons would help potential buyers. Rather than reviewing different cars why not try reviewing the same 1 in different styles with a different audience in mind to help you find a style you are comfortable with and can make your own.

The above are just things that went through my head as I watched the video. Aside from that it was well shot, quite well edited and pretty good for someone starting out.

Thank you for your feedback! I have since bought an external mic for my camera translating into much better audio, the reason for which I changed my shorts to trousers is because the evening of the first day of shooting I fell over and had really cut legs, doesn't look good on video... Yes I could of re-shot the first day's scenes but my leg was really bloody painful and I wasn't in a good mood! I have a review of the Octavia estate and Golf estate coming up where I will address all of these problems. Thanks once again for your feedback, it really does help me improve!
