Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

Did exactly the same-paid mine off as soon as the paperwork came through. I got mine from Savilles which took less than 2 weeks from walking into the showroom, doing the deal with patrick to picking it up. Don't know what the rest of you were messing about at! :wonder: :giggle:

Post like these hurt my feelings lol, i have to pay 215 for two years service, and I took out 3000 finance, I also didnt get 500 off gutted. I'll live.

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Does anyone happen to know if the blacklines are still available? i.e. have the 500 UK destined ones all been snapped up??

Cheers

Sold out over a Month ago I got the last white one on the system I was "told".

Winchester Skoda are showing a blue estate for immeadiate delivery, don't know if still true or if its pre reg or what http://www.wincheste...ediate_delivery

Mine had to be a pre-reg thats why I missed out on the benefits, but if it wasnt for that I wouldn't have one....

I was told by my dealer when I picked mine up in early October that many dealers ordered 1 as a demo - his arrived a couple of days before mine and I joked with him because they were all but sold out by then, so he had a demonstartor, but no cars to sell which took circa 100 out of circulation, so that's possibly why the pre registerd ones are popping up

My Son took delivery on 1st Oct he has had an awful time 2nd Oct rear blowout car went back to garage they changed all tyres saying there was a fault in them ! 12th Dec he was driving 60 mph when an electrical failure occoured car went back to garage he was told problem with loom ! 28th Dec same thing happened again rac took car back again ! Car is not fit for purpose ! Absolute nightmare !

Sounds awful, no issues with mine, other than I broke my leg 2 weeks ago so I cant drive it!

Hope you get it sorted + reassurance and some sort of compensation.

Sorry.... I wasn't trying to be cocky and rub it in to any other BL owners as it was my dealer who put me on to the finance deal, which Skoda changed PDQ once they saw what was happening. I didn't get daggers of SWMBO either so it must have been a good deal, tho I did get the usual looking to the heavens and shaking of the head :giggle:

On the bright side loads of others would have your BL tomorrow even if it's the wrong colour LOL

I feel sorry for anyone who's had problems with their new car, irrespective of what it is. I think it was chappers who had wiring probs too with his though not seen anything from him about it since so guess it's been fixed, which is the important bit I guess. It took him some time to get it fixed but they found it was something to do with the loom/fusebox- the unlocking of his front doors was his problem. Not much comfort I know but the important thing is that they get t fixed for you and treat you well.

+1 on this. Trouble is with the Blacklines selling out in October and the supply of new vRS's having dried up as they get ready for the mkIII (but no word on a new vRS) the chances of getting a replacement are slim to none.

How did you break your leg- doing something heroic I hope!

I broke my leg riding my push bike through a puddle (that was hiding solid ice). I am the outdoors type and it's driving me insane :(

Miss driving the car too as I was having such fun.

2 weeks down, hoping it's sorted in another 4 or less, but I was warned it could be 8 weeks!

I'm still around ;) Mine is finally fixed and you are right about the fault being due to the wiring. Mine was exacerbated by issues with staff at my local dealership, but all has now been sorted and a decent compensatory package has been offered.

I know my dealer were saying that they have a list of people that still want Blacklines and he would be able to sell many again. When I was looking at rejection on mine the lack of available UK stock for a replacement was also an issue - that was several weeks ago so I dread to think how few nonstandard spec vRS there are out there now.

To be fair there are plenty of reasons why dealers would take them on demo plan - one being that they have to have a certain number of cars from across the range as demos at all times, and have to have a vRS of some sort. There's also financial reasons ( amongst which would be if you have to have an octavia on demo you might as well buy one that's on offer!)

I feel for you, broke my leg and ankle on 30th Sept, still on crutches............was told it will take 6 months to a year before I recover as I broke so much and badly.

I start hydro next week and hope to be able to drive in feb. Keep ya chin up!

I know what you mean here with dealers being expected to have certain models on demo, my point (though not well made by me as usual!) is that with a limited edition of circa 500 I thought it was poor that Skoda allowed their dealers to have Blacklines as demo cars, which effectively deprived some potential cusomers of the chance of buying one new as there was only going to be a finite number for sale. After I laughed at my dealer for getting his just before they were all sold as per my previous post he took his off demo and put a RBM standard CR vRS on demo in it's place to keep the miles off the blackline. Shortly after he sold the BL to a regular customer who was desperate for 1 but couldn't get a new one. To me a far better soluton would to have had the BLs in the showroom as new cars with a normal CR available as a demo- that way customers could see a BL in the flesh and test drive a normal CR if they wanted thereby not compromising the total number of new Blacklines available.

well......I'm not sure if I am actually the last-but must be one of the last! I'm currently awaiting delivery of my brand new Black Magic BL, which I ordered about 10 days ago! My dealer managed to find a blackline 'on the system' , so I'm assuming it's a cancelled order. Best get that MFSW ordered :). Just wish there was an easy OEM bum warmer retrofit. ...oh yeah and Xenons ;) .

What te story with e grill? Is chrome standard? What te way forward if you want it black, Matt wrap?

The chrome grill is standard. I've seen other grlls shown in this section so if you have a look round/do a search you should be able to find examples and advice on how to/where you can get them from etc.

Only downside to the Blackline I'm afraid- no factory options available, just the standard model 3 colours/estate/hatch/manual/DSG/devils juice for all

It's a hard life!

Loving mine, standard tho it is.....apart from space saver wheel kit which I bought seperate and rear sill protectors to stop the kids scratching the paint

Seen the black estate which looks the part. Never seen one so it will be a nice surprise when I get it. I'm unlikely to do anything other then do the BT mod. Most my cash goes on my other motor!

Yes bet that's fun at the forecourt when you turn up in that. Wheeler dealers 'did 1 up' which was a good watch. There was some place Brewer went to that had all the old factory records for each Interceptor they made do you have a copy of yours?

Bet you can see the fuel gauge move evey time you put your foot down!

I've not seen any BL estates, only a Black hatch, though I recon the white estate with the black interior and black neptunes will look good

Yeh I have my records. Wheeler Dealers basically just fix the obvious stuff however to secure the cars value you need to invest and restore correctly. Mine is not at concours but not far off. Fuel is about 12 mpg :-) however no road tax and £100 insurance and no depreciation so the fuel bill is a red herring

Wow yours must be bad, plaster above or below the knee? Sounds like we should be back driving at a similar time, although you have had more to deal with! Check up on Friday and replaster. Sounds odd, but want to be back in work, its a slippery slope being at home.

Do you have a black line?

I bought rear door sill protectors, bit of a cheap trick for skoda not to fit front and rear.

I strongly recommend you look for a boot/sill protector, the black paint on my scratched very easily, someone rested a kids rugby bag on it.

yeah understand what you mean about the overall picture when you take everything into account, though I'm guessing you don't do many miles either so fuel won't be a big issue, but could result in interesting chats at the pumps. As far as wheeler dealers is concerned it's all a bit of a con really IMO as the 'profit' they claim never takes either of their time into consideration. Often they don't seem to do the job 'properly', which must get the enthusiasts backs up a bit or make them laugh. They seem to want to save a few quid in parts when they've 'spent' loads on labour stripping the car down in the first place, the outcome of which is it's likely to cost the new owner more in the long run, but I do fine the programs interesting... often thinking 'yep I'd like one of those'.......

On the red herring front next you'll know the TSI guys will be expaining why you should have bought a petrol vRS and that if you drive one like Miss Daisy you can get over 40 mpg from it :giggle:

+1 with you that it's b****y annoying :(

Hardly a cheap trick (on Skodas part), they cost me about £40! :@

The big rip off was that they don't supply just the rears so I had to buy a full set of placky ones which arn't as good as the vRS fronts. Will have to put the fronts on fleebay to see if anyone wants them who don't have kids!

I bought the matching rears online for about £40! What I meant by cheap trick, they put them in the front not the rear. They must cost about £5 all in.

Here you go. They do look cool.
