Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

Where did this info come from?

Dealer mentioned this to me and I have no reason to doubt it.

I saw numerous available Blackline cars on the screen and either (i) 200 more have been built, (ii) the original 500 have not sold as well as thought or (iii) the 500 were being drip fed out.

Cheers.

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

seriously thinking of getting a BL if there's any left, black wheels don't really do it for me either but if it was really a problem I could always get them powder coated for not a lot of money. still a bargain considering all the extras. I'd be happy with a regular vRS but the seats just don't do it for me! all black is much nice (IMO)

If you want one I'd get your skates on. After I ordered mine on Thursday after they had been released, when the sales man rang back to confirm the order was in he said he was "watching them disappear off the system rapidly".........

I can echo the comment above. As far as i am aware Skoda UK commissioned at least 100 additional cars. May be more and not sure what proportion were hatch/estate and manual/DSG.

When i was there Sat morning there were only two white DSG estates left and it was much a case if I wanted one it had to be now or never. Of the 100 cars mentioned there were only 48 available after one day!

Apparently they are all estates but all colours and DSG/manuals available.

^^^^^ +1.

All cars released were Estates both manual and DSG.

Sorry yes indeed, production of hatch had already ceased so all being estates makes perfect sense. In any case glad to have bought one of the last two white DSG estates; had thought that ship had sailed until saturday :-)

Enjoy

You won't be disappointed. Having had a diesel DSG it's fantastic - enough poke when you need it but also a pretty good fuel return if you don't want to be flying about everywhere.

Out of interest, and for some fun, I have just spec'd an equivalent VW Golf estate - £28,000 - £10,000 more than the Octavia Blackline!!!

I am a long term VW customer but no way, it is not worth that. That is why I have jumped ship for Skoda.

Just hope that the next 3.5 years are smooth trouble free motoring...

Enjoy

+1 on Lee's comments. Mines a manual and I've never tried the DSG but to me it's an awesome package. If you haven't already done so have a look at the link to the test drive BA posted in 1243.

In terms of numbers left, when spoke to a dealer on Saturday he was seeing quantities of "10+" for each combination, but no idea if that means 11 or 101.

Didn't realy want an estate one, mainly because they are an extra grand on top.. Got a budget of 18k

Mark.

Dont think thats right, my dealer said that only 48 of the 100 cars were unallocated as of Sat morning unless thats not true

If we look at the screen and it shows 10+ (of cars all with the same spec) we can open the box to show exactly how many.

Looked this morning for a different car and showed 10+ there were 12. Personally couldn't see Skoda making 100 cars all of the same spec.

... the 500/free servicing may still also be available on the normal finance if you prefer that (I think mine was 7.9%, which a BA says is dearer than the banks but you get the benefits) but as I paid it off stright away it wasn't an issue to me.

I've just spoken to a dealer who said he recommended doing 2 payments first, and then calling the finance company to clear the balance after that. Having me on ? (I'll wait and see his figures too)

I couldn't say why he's saying 2 payments - perhaps he could explain that to you. I do know that Skoda made some changes to what the minimum you could take out and get the £500/3years free servicing from October 1st as quite a few were doing the same as me prior to 1/10 and paying it off virtually straight away, so they might have added something in about the minimum number of payments too, but you'd need to check your paperwork to find out I guess.

Just got back from Lookers Skoda on Bury New Road, Manchester. There's a nice race blue Blackline in the showroom :)

Estate then I take it?

Sorry hatch. Tapatalk is awful.

I didn't get exact figures, but he did say it needed a minimum of a 24-month "loan", and 1 payment was needed before it could all be paid off - but there was no mention of how that got worked out, or if there was an early repayment charge.

I'm more inclined to try and just get a good deal "all in" and then worry about servicing costs whern they arise

That's the colour and shape I wanted but was under the impression all that was left was estates.. May go down to my local dealer and just ask!

Could be worth a shout :)

Sounds like a PCP, so it'll probably have milage restrictions/penalties for excess milage and to own the car outright at the end you'll have to pay that lump sum. As you say pick what evers the best deal for you, but I'd suggest you keep an open mind and don't discount anything at the mo until you've got the full picture. Then make your mind up (quickly!)
