I'd say great honest service from turbo dynamics.

My only suggestion would be to buy a tubular manifold and and a stock gtb2260vk and see what TD will do with it. Would they vacuum conversion it?

Can turbo Dynamics actually supply a GTB based turbo? As in a 2260/2265 etc?

I can thoroughly understand them not wanting to mess if it's as they say, otherwise it's a can of worms isn't it going forwards.

Hope you get some sort of solution mate

I'm sure they could, but until this one goes bang, I wont be purchasing another. Yeah 100% I don't blame them, they have been brilliant

Very true mate, top lads, unfortunate situation.

If i was to buy another turbo it would be the 2265 then send that off for a hybrid build I think, But not until this one has died.

Just noticed the cast manifold has a flang welded on so replacement should be easy.

Gtb2265 don't exist. 2260 is the biggest all the rest are hybrids. So best getting a decent second hand stock unit and sending that off.

Been busy with small jobs on the fabia, such as splitting the headlights to paint the inserts from black to silver, I noticed the lenses had a very strange film/layer on them.

So I dropped them off at a detailers I know, and this is how they have come up

Really happy with the result, the lights will be rebuild up with new led sidelights and %150 white main bulbs, I also bought a few goodies from darkside.

Darkside shallow sump, braided oil feed, new gaskets, few silicone pipes too.

Are those murray clamps actually worth the extra price?

The biggest point for me is that they don't damage the pipe if you really tighten them up, and I have head people give them a good report. I'm gonna give them a go and I shall report back haha

Progress picture from profidiesel

Should be posted by tomorrow

I didn't know you could show porn at this time of day.

Looks epic

haha sorry, It should have an 18 plus warning on it. This is the new redesigned one too with a larger port   :D

Inlet looks swish Jack, are you going for a conventional Left Hand Side entry on it?

I thought the exhaust manifold looked familiar, is it profi diesel as well?

I also have the profi diesel log exhaust manifold on mine with the GTB1756, one thing you may want to check is the turbo to manifold studs, on mine they were just pressed in and one of them came loose and caused the gasket to blow, I had to take the manifold off and weld the studs to the manifold (through the holes in the back side of the flange). I did tell profi diesel about it so hopefully they have improved/fixed this problem.

I have the exact same manifold, but they have improved the design since then, The lugs are now threaded in instead of pushed in.

That's good news, was bit of a design flaw pressing them in!

I completely agree, at least they changed the design and listen to customer feedback.

Finally painted the engine! 6 coats of antirust primer and 4 coats of high temp silver! Came out really nice, I'll get a proper picture soon

Should make good progress over Christmas!

Is the inlet manifold stainless steel?

How much are they charging for that?

Going to be a well specced car :)

The manifold will be made from stainless yes, and it works out at about £215 delivered! so very reasonable  :D

it will be when its done haha can't wait to get it mapped

Any proven power gains for the inlet? :)

No, I don't know anyone myself who runs one, but the ports are larger than the normal inlet so hopefully there will be some power gains.

I would be happy with 310hp

Don't get too hung up on the bhp figures,or you will be disappointed!

You will need a cam and headwork at least to break the genuine 300bhp barrier.

Unless of course you use ##!!##hs RR then anything is possible. .......... :D

Really happy with the manifold, can't wait to get everything bolted on soon! I also started refurbing parts to go back on.

The starter motor is first!

All split down ready for paint, ran out of primer so I'll get round to painting parts again soon.

Progress should be pretty speedy from now on!
