Let's Record Our Adventures!

I thought I'd create a thread for those of us who've had interesting encounters with various other hot/warm/lukewarm hatch/sports bracket vehicles, or even supercars, and the outcome of each. :D

The only criteria you need to meet is that you must have a Skoda Vehicle; standard or otherwise

I'll go first:

Him: Mini Cooper S, Me: Standard 2005 Fabia vRS - Both floored it on the slip road of a bypass (private bypass). Was with him all the way until 110, when he pulled over and let me fly past. I'm sure he was withholding to test me however.

Him: Pug 106 Diesel (prob 1.4), Fat mate in passenger seat.

Me: Modded Octy vRS (see sig.), my dad in passenger seat and a Lunar LX2000 Caravan on the towbar, going up a hill in Ardsley near Barnsley. He did not get passed! :D

him black fabia vrs. me 307 hdi 90. road crosshills to colne.

result. lost sight of fabia in rear view mirror - presume rolled out of contention......

last car i destroyed down that piece of blacktop was an esprit.... but it was a bit unfair of him as i was still in the octy.

him black fabia vrs. me silver octy "SDI"

result? I'm sure there was a Fabia trying to follow me after I'd overtaken him down the straight. When will people learn, things are not always as they seem?

him black Fabia vrs. me black Octy "1.4 16v"

result? Me cruising at 80, he comes by at 130ish, me catches him within a mile and scared the hell out of him with how fast a 1.4 really is :D

You want more? How about the silver Fabia TDI that thought it would reenact the tortoise and the hare - shame he turned turtle within a mile  Oh hi J :wavey:

All speed are of course in kph :D

How childish .......... :D

I don't get involved .........

Well...........perhaps, sometimes .........

Me : Black magic Octavia vRS, empty wide 3 lane motorway, making progress.

Him : Ford Transit safety camera van. 0MPH

Me: in court facing a disqualification

The only time I've been shafted by a transit.

At the lights, window down as it's quite warm. $hitroen Paxo 1.1 with chrome spinner wheel trims and big back box and loud subs pulls up. The guy in the passenger seat notices me laughing, asks what power I'm pulling, reply 'Diesel'. He laughs 'Race ya to the roundabout', 'Ok' says me.

Lights go green, I'm off and round the bend over the roundabout and only then do I see his headlights coming round the bend. He pulls in at Halfords after I've slowed down, 'Woah, that's quick mate, is it a GTi?'. I just say 'Get yourself a quicker car and when you can beat me, I'll show you what's under the bonnet'.

 It's only a 1.9TDi Fabia, 100bhp Beige Beast!

Him, Modified Golf GTI, me, Mini Cooper S.

Was going to pick my sister up, pull up at red light, and the GTI pulls up next to me, and revs. Switch AC off, Light goes green, and off I go. Up a winding flyover, he is pretty close to me, looks like he modded that car pretty well...gong back down winding left, I soon have to make a left on an inside 's' road...pull a formula one on him and leave him lurking behind...one of the best races I've had on curves.

Done quite a few people, without really trying, poeple think its a big ol skoda driven by someone old, then they see me, and im gone before they realise, and ive only got 130bhp!

Today

Me and another fat bloke (driver) in a black Octy, other car V8 Manaro VXR. At one point we started to pull away on the flat apart from that nothing in it.

I thing the other fat bloke bottled it at silly speed. :P

I drove a Clubsport Monaro in Australia, so if you were able to keep up I'm amazed! They run either an 5.7 V8 or LS2 6.0ltr V8, which develops about 300KW...they're not slow... ;)

What's the Octy rated at?

The Monaro??? There is no way you could beat a Monaro (400bhp) unless your car was properly fixed up...I tired racing one in a Cooper S Works but still it kicked my a**..and the Works is faster than a Octi vRS.

The Holden/Vauxhall Monaro in this region is called a Chevrolet Lumina SS, and in the U.S., a Pontiac GTO.

Hehe, I know good isn't it.

The black Octy in question has got about the same power.

Oh fat bloke said, we would have had him in the twisties.

:wave23d:

Oh and for the record - the fat bloke wasn't driving :D

me: Octy vRS, him: Porsche Boxter

Bodged up the start and he got away, changed up into second, caught up and got level with him, into third and see ya later! He was mighty unhappy! ...to the point where he was fuming so much as I looked over at him as we sat at the next set of lights he lit up the wheels and went straight through the red light  I think he was trying to show off his new car to his girlfriend

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it wasn't an 'S' as it was so easy to beat :D

Come on then - anybody else out playing at the weekend?

From scoobynet was it you? forum:

Me:

I was in a red skoda (fabia) Vrs,

hope i didnt hold you up too much! I would have let you past, except there always seemed to be something coming the other way at the wrong time.

Anyways, I hope you had fun and i kept you busy, for a diesel anyway!

Him (New black impreza Sti):

Twas me.

I did see you try and let me past but as you say - never an ideal moment came. I am happy to sit behind anyone who shows courtesy.

You were not holding me up thats for certain. Its a quick car through the twistys, and I think I would have needed a longish straight to get past.

Thanks for the fun.

:)

BTW just incase anyone was gonna say it, i KNOW an impreza could murder my car! It was fun having him behind me though, made me concentrate

Not this weekend but in a private road...Porsche silver, pretty quick....Pretty even to #0 pause...yep still there....#0 yep still there...#20yep still there just. Brake for 40 right hander...nope I'm not a porsche, porsche escapes.

So Porsche 1

Octy 1

Saab Aero 0

eh?

I was having a play a saab aero lane cutter which I prompty trounced when I happened upon the porscher :D

nobody will probably believe me but:

on the way back from inters had a good play with a 355 ferrari!!! he bottled it and just could not pass me........

Now I know that given an open road he would have murdered me, but he bottled it before I pulled in at 120+ to let him pass!!!!

Way home again, VR6 MK3 Golf, pulled away easy with the torque, but he was catching me up at about 110!!

Btw way m'lud these speeds were in KPH :)

I have heard many good Furby stories but keeping a 355 at bay? I think you must have a jet propulsion system on yours! Well done anyway, though I think its safe to say that whoever was at the wheel of the 'rari was an inept driver to say the least!

Or he couldn't see anything because of the smoke screen the Fabia was kicking out ;)

Chris

Like I said, If it was an open road he would have mullered me...............

If it was twisty roads then I think its fair to say the Ferrari did not have a safe opportunity to overtake you...

'Bottled' isnt the word I would use, more driving briskley/moderatley safely but not like a tw@ putting people lifes in danger with dangerous overtaking.

Of course I could have the wrong end of the stick but thats how it comes accross to me.
