Hi folks, I stumbled upon this site/forum whilst looking for a solution to my Fabias climatronic panel blinking on startup. In addition, the fan is not working at all! If anyone had a similar problem please let me know.

All the panels symbols are displayed and the panel blinks for a couple of seconds. When I fiddle around with the temp. settings and other stuff, I can hear the servo sounds from beneath the dash. I'm guessing the fan motor has died on me. Any other ideas/solutions? I know the car battery has to be changed before the freezing weather breakes in, because last winter I had to jumpstart the car at one occasion. Also the AC cooling fluid had been filled this summer. Other than that, there are no known faults to my Fabia. I've checked and interchanged all the fuses, that had anything to do with the ventilation, to no avail

It sounds like a loose connection to me, anyway you can get into the back and freshen up some joints?
