Has anyone looked at changing the tick box shown above the bluetooth one in VCDS as shown in the screen shots in the link? I.e the ones that say DAB radio inactive

And has anyone activated bluetooth and then used it to stream music to the headunit? ... not interested in having hands free but this function would be handy.

Streaming music via BT works OK off my Blackberry but I use the SD card the most.

We already have DAB so I would guess it's already unticked.

The streaming works great. I have streamed MP3, Audible books and spotify and it works great. On both Android and Iphone.

Mic went in today and works a treat. about 45 min job.

The bluetooth allows you to stream music from your phone/mp3 player, however I activated it for the phone function as it's easier to just put your music on an SD card, but yes, you can (and I have) stream music that way.

Hi. Do you get track listings on the HU when using spotify with android?

despite the SD card, has anybody fitted a VAG MDI Ipod/iphone cable to one of these? The manual suggests it is possible. I will use the SD card slot alos but my iphone gets updated very frequently. Also will it charge my iphone? this would be handy

Thanks in advance

How do you get around no control button on the VRS steering wheel

You should be able to use the stereo to answer or possibly setup an auto answer on the phone settings maybe?

Or use indicator stork just press ok when phone rings.

The track from spotify do show in maxi dot and you can change them from the maxidot contoller.

Do you need a radio code as the radio/nav get disconnected?

The car should remember your stereo and all the presets

No code was needed

Agree no coding was required, all powered back up OK.

Well i've had the blackline over a week, and the mic got delivered about a week before that - time to find someone with VCDS.....anyone near Cardiff weekday evenings, or Wigan ish at weekends?

Asked a local Briskoda member with VCDS to help out activating my vrs Blacklines Bluetooth, just took a few minutes, no problem. Ordered the mic on Sunday 3rd Feb from Car-systems, it turned up yesterday (Thursday 7th), can't fault that for service from Poland, free shipping as well! Worked out about £30. Fitted it myself today, followed the excellent guide by 'Welsh_kai_boy' and had no problems whatsoever. All up and running, works a treat. I'd just like to say a big thank you to 'Welsh_kai_boy' for taking the time and effort to put together this excellent guide, as a result you have helped many of us who would not have known what was involved or where to start to get this job done.

Thanks

I am glad that I have helped all the Blackline owners.

Bluetooth coded, mate helping me fit the mic tomorrow. Be great to finally be able to answer the phone in the car when it rings!

Hi all,

Would love any advise or help with a problem on my Amundsen plus unit. I haven't got anything as flash as a Blackilne i'm afraid, but rather a new Fabia Greenline II bought january 2nd. I added the amundsen plus sat nav as an optional extra which i am very happy with. However I was harbouring a sneaky hope that it would have an internal bluetooth capability that I would be able to enable. With the fantastic help of David 8 we tried using vcds to untick the "disable bluetooth" setting as described at : http://www.remkoweijnen.nl/blog/2011/08/26/rns-315-enable-the-hidden-bluetooth-carkit/

However when we came to exit the vcds and save the new coding the coding was rejected and unable to be saved (though David 8 did save my sanity by changing the annoying double press to unlock all doors thingy). My question is do you think my rns315 unit has a bluetooth capability or does not. The part numder is 3T0035192L andthe Software version is 0324. Any advice must appreciated as my next thought is to spend out on a Fiscon plus kit which is streatching my finances a bit.

Many thanks
