Mk1 fabia's have different top mounts from the mk1 octavia so they wont fit yours but they should fit the mk2 fabia, not that thats much help haha

I need a boost guage to keep an eye on things now I'm at stage 2. I'm not keen on loosing a vent or mounting on the steering column. And so over to my good buddy to fabricate an A pillar pod mount. Once Lloyd had done his awesome stuff A pillars were dispatched to Flocking Fantastic and covered in super soft black flock. The results are awesome thanks to Lloyd and Flocking Fantastic. See below some pics.

As the Octy spends most of its life tucked up in the man cave some battery conditioning is worth while. So I thought I would hard wire up an external charge connector to save trailing leads out from under bonnet.

First inline fuse and soldered ring to positive terminal.

Then the same on negative terminal. Proper solder joints make for a much better connection than just crimped.

Then to attach suitable lengths of wire again soldered and protected with heat shrink.

Charge socket then fitted into lower bumper grill and fixed into place with hot glue.

And finally 7.5 amp fuse inserted into inline fuse holder.

Job nearly complete. Just need to find a cover for the exposed connector to stop the ingress of dust and water. Ohh and clean and paint the battery retaining plate.

Great work as normal Pete, I know where to bring mine for a clear up LOL.
