Get a new one, it's not too difficult to do. Hardest part was getting the old one off after 8+ years of being on the car.

True and carbon does tend to go with most colours. B)

The grill turned out good, nice job. Did the metallizer give it a smooth finish rather than the matt finish Plastidip gives it on its own?

  • Author

Not really smooth, it's kind of matt with a bit of something else. Difficult to explain. :D

It hasn't come out perfect but i like it and i've got another i can have another attempt on should i decide i want to. :)

It's been sprayed with 4 coats of black plast-dip and 3 coats of plasti-dip metalizer.

I've also bought these:

I was going to paint the grill but following some advice, i've decided to go down the above route instead. :)

Cheers Korban.

I'm toying with the idea of Eibachs and will probably get some this year but will then store them until i can afford to get them fitted. It's times like that i wish i had a mechanic friend. :(

Cheers for the grill comment as well.

Any friendly brisky members nearby?

If you we're closer I'd help out :)

Sure we could sort something out! I use my Mum and dads drive to "modify" as i dont have a drive myself and the neighbours dont like me "modifying" out the front! Haha! Apparently it makes it looks a less desireable area to be!! My folks dont seem to care which is always good!

As long as you're not leaving half broken cars on the garden, i can't see your neighbours problem!! :D

Anyway, won't be doing any modding for a few days:

Managed to sprain my wrist on Thursday and, before the usual comments, i'm right handed!! :( :D

At leat they understood that you are a "big" kid and let you play in the playground to forget your pain eh ?

I hope you get well sooner than expected.

The toys were very limited and not a piece of Lego in sight. :(

Hope you heal quickly mate

Managed to go out in the car today, though still wearing my wrist support with 2 metal bars holding my wrist straight. Changing gear wasn't too much of an issue but i wouldn't want to drive further than i did today.

Anyway, took the car to be cleaned and so decided to take some iPhone shots when i got home:

Looks good mate. Like the little Vrs sticker above the exhaust :)

Think you'll be able to make it to prept this month?

Cheers. I used a couple of stickers i'd bought for the calipers i had left over.

I should be able to make it. Pete said it was the last Wednesday of every month, so i shouldn't have any plans.

Awesome will be good to meet you mate. Can whack one of my wheels on your car while we're there :)

Cheers, though i'm starting to rethink the colour plans as i really like the colour Pete has got on the Fabia vRS. B)

I'll still check how the darker colour looks on mine though.

Went out again today and i've got the dreaded ABS/ASR lights on my dash again!! :(

The sooner i can buy a replacement wiring loom, the better. I don't suppose anyone knows the part number or exact name for the wire that's snapped??
