This is my first post so apologies if in the wrong section!

The last week I've been having weird problems with my remote central locking. Firstly 2 days ago the red light on the fob started flashing and my remote locking stopped working. After an hour or two it was back to normal again.

Today I tried to unlock my car using it, and the little red light in between the lock/unlock buttons is solid red, and again the remote not working. I presumed it was a sync issue, went through the manual for resyncing and it didn't work, took it into Timpson's to see if it was a battery issue and he said he'd never seen a solid red light mean empty/faulty batteries, and also suggested syncing. I drive a 2003 Fabia Classic 1.2 (if it makes any difference at all). Googled it, seen no evidence of anything exactly like this before on this forum or otherwise.

Anyone else had this problem or got any fixes? Cheers.

Mine does this occasionally. Take the battery out and then put it back. If you have a battery tester, check it. unless the battery is flat putting it back in resets mine.
