wow! looking nice. Rear looks like from old Audi A6

broken down already??? :p

if that's it, I don't mind it at all!

also has lane change sensors behind the rear doors

i would've gone with "self-park assist" sensor.

maybe the new octavia will come with that as standard/optional.

........then again, i could b wrong.

Well spotted

I think the sensors are for some sort of drowsiness/lane veering thing (not the technical name).

Everybody knows what it is, so why bother covering up the wheel centre badges with tape.

Looks much better in these pics.

I suspect its just been offloaded from the truck in the background.

we all drive skodas, just having some fun :)

Very ala Audi A6 saloon with the boot open.

When out at the weekend, I noticed a "lane change" symbol on my instrument panel, the sun was shining enough to show it up, hidden in the corner - wondered what it could be? Perhaps this is what it aludes to?

STILL no hydraulic bonnet lifter!

Any more shots?

Also confirms what we said about the black B pillars. Still has curry hooks in the boot :) .

Rear boot picture kind of confirms and lines up with this previous one:

The wheels are fairly tasteful, inspired by Audi rotors. Thankfully no horrible diamond cut and black nonsense.

Apparently Skoda allowed journalists to view a pre-production model of the Octavia III in Portugal - no photos allowed but they did allow photos with the car's veil on:

Great news for fans of massive arch gaps. Makes for easy fitting of snow chains I guess.

Is this basically going to be the same size as the Mark 1 Superb? Meaning the Rapid is the new Octavia and the Mark III Superb will be the size of a Hummer limo.

I do quite like the look of this new one though

Looks about normal to me. RS will be just right, any lower and it starts to look a bit Halfords.

Hmm not sure about the front lights myself, maybe just the silver making it look a bit wishy washy.

will wait to hold judgement till I see it in a darker colour, probably all irrelevant for me anyway as I'm only likely to be back in the market for a new motor when the Octy 3 FL comes out.

The crease to the rear lights isn't as obvious as it looked under the veil.
