Finally got some Uniroyal Rainsport 2 's from Camskill. 

 

 

These are the 3rd best thing ever invented,

 

1st,  DSG Gearbox

 

2nd, Sliced Bread

 

3rd, Uniroyal Rainsports

 

There isn't a 4th.....................Yet

Have just ordered 2x Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance.

 

They're to go on the rear to replace two tyres sawtoothed by the car. First time I've opted for premium tyres but I picked them for the low noise and close tread pattern rather than grip.

 

If the car decides to eat them too I'll be well ****ed.

Just had 2 225x40x18 92Y XL  Vredestein Ultrac Vorti fitted on my Vrs LE by Tyremen in Hull, cost of £115-00 each inc fitting/balance etc. Can't believe how quiet they are compared to the Conti Sport 3 that they have replaced. Too soon to tell any more. The boss of Tyremen Lindsay Carlin who i have known for years says that they are much better in the wet and will give better mileage than the Conti's.

 Trust me they are much better in the wet! Too soon to say what sort of mileage they will produce.... but have you noticed that the car feels more stable and planted? I did when I switched to them from the bridgestones. They haven't been around for that long yet but I can't fault them at all. reasonable prices too!

Just bought some 225/40/18 Falken ZE 914's which have great reviews on tyrereviews.co.uk, @ £68.31 a corner from All New Tyres you can't go wrong. Hopefully I can get them fitted and balanced for a good price.
