Combi electric boot closing operation

Featured Replies

I have removed a number of links to illegal cables before we are asked to by Ross-Tech.

The one I have left behind is not an illegal cable, however it will not work with the Superb MK2 at all.

Never buy the cheap ebay fakes, you have no idea what they will do to your car when you plug them in. We have first hand experience on briskoda of at least one member who ended up purchasing a new instrument cluster after the fake cable corrupted the eeprom memory.

Yes the genuine cable is expensive, but you get software updates, full technical support, none of which you get with the fake cable.

Switch come home lights to fogs

I did this but will now change it back to the headlights. Much prefer the HID's coming on as they light up all the way to my house door from the car park, plus the HID's use less power (2x35W not counting the initial surge to ignite) instead of fogs (2x55W). Some people will argue bulb life is reduced for the HID's, but my old car had leaving/coming home and was still running the original pair of HID bulbs after 6 years.

Trying to remember what else I did...:

- Change distance impulse number so that the speedo is closer to accurate (still fiddling with this);

- Increase mirror and rear window heater timeout from 10mins to 20mins;

- Increase footwell illumination when door is open from 90% to 100%;

With the emergency braking, you can choose to flash the brake lights, the rear indicators or both. I chose both. Not sure if they flash together or alternately.

Fiddling that is still underway:

- Trying to see if I can set the rear fogs as rear stoplights at the same time as the normal rear stoplights. Ran out of time last weekend to try this one;

- Replacing front DRLs with LEDs this weekend, so might have to adjust the front DRL dimming value from it's default of 90%;

Can't remember what else I changed.

Don't forget to save your original coding before you change any values as there are dependencies upon dependencies in this system.
