Silence Please!

Featured Replies

Hi All

Got a Skoda Fabia 2002 1.9Tdi with Four miss matching hollywood tyres that is horribly noisy and would proboly squeel on sand. At 80mph i need to max the radio volume to hear the traffic report.

Does anyone know any good silent all-round tyres? Got the original elegance alloy rims.

Any got experience of the following which have got good reviews ad low noise levels

Hankook Optimo H727

Hankook Ventus Prime 2

Goodyear Asymmetric 2

Conti CC5

Yokohama CD2

Toyo C1-S or the CT101

Goodyear Efficient Grip

Cheers

I've had Goodyear Eagle F1's before and would recommend them all round

Just put a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 3's on the front, and think I prefer them over the Goodyear's.

Had Yoko's on a Mk2 Golf valver and they were impressive. Wore a bit quick, but then it was a GTI :notme:

I've got the Goodyear eagle f1s at the moment and they're great :)

Hankook ventus prime also a great tyre.

Others I'd recommend are Falken Ziex or FK-452

If you want cheap and cheerful, then these are a Conti JV and look very much to me like the Conti PC2.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're just a rebranded PC2, as it is now a defunct tyre.

Obviously I have no way to confirm that, but I can't see them doing more research for a tyre when they already have an old design they can sell off.

After another few loops around the reviews I decided to try something new: Dunlop Sport BluResponse - 185/60 R14 H (82) however need to sleep on it now and might change my mind again

...what eagles and dimensions are you guys running

225/40/18 (3.2 TT quattro) so maybe not for you then
