Does anyone know whether a fixed towbar fitted to an '11 Octavia hatch will fit a '61 Superb Combi?

Colleague has the Octavia and has offered me the towbar if it fits mine. Haven't checked the make yet, that's next.

Looking at the Westfalia website, they list them as the same part number and from the fitting instructions it looks like the only difference is which mounting holes to use (fore or aft)

Anyone got any ideas/experience etc?

I have the Westfalia on my FL Scout, and you're correct about the mounting holes. Mine was fitted a couple of years ago, so don't know about changes to either car since then. Don't know about other makes of tow bar though.

+1 on this - I fitted a westfailia towbar to mine and it comes with extra holes for fitting to the Superb. If your mate's has more than two holes on each side I would suggest it is suitable for yours.

Westfalia was the first manufacturer to spring to mind so I am only going off that at the minute - it could all go horribly wrong if it's a different manufacturer who have produced different bars for both the Octavia and Superb!

Turns out it is an Anker towbar which has been fitted - so have dropped them a line to see if the model is compatible with the Superb.

The Westfalia looks simple and compatible with both but the Anker looks a little more "agriculture" in design.

Anyone had any experience of Anker towbars or got one fitted?
