The temperature Gauge is not working in my Octavia 2001, it stays flat on the left. Is there a simple way to fix this, could it be a loose wire, and if so, where is it located?

On the petrols the CTS is as described in the thread, but on tdi's it's on the right side of the engine below the fuel tandem pump.

CTS is a very common failure, just make sure you replace with a genuine VAG part or you'll probably be buying twice.
