Swing Radio speaker problem

Featured Replies

I've bought a 2010 1.2 Yeti which has a Swing radio fitted.

Only the speakers in the rear doors are working and the fader control on the radio is missing. There is just a blank where this function is normally displayed.

I've been told by the dealer that the car has no front speakers fitted but I find it hard to believe that these would not be fitted as standard, and  I can't see any configuration options for extra speakers when buying a new car.

Is my dealer right or is this a radio configuration problem that could be changed with vagcom/VCDS ?

Weird...

My 1.2 TSI Ambition is fitted with front speakers (2 tweeters + 2 woofers) on the SWING system. Fader function is missing as there are no rear door speakers. From further reading on forums I can understand that the fader function is automatically enabled as soon as rear speakers are fitted.

Why don't you buy my unused from" new "bolero , from me ?

Called another dealer today who looked the car up on the Skoda database and stated that it had been fitted with front door speakers.

Its going in next week to be investigated under warranty so I'll see what happens.
