VRS finance...

Featured Replies

Has anyone had an actual finance quote from Skoda for the VRS? I'd be looking at getting a VRS estate with DSG and few extras and I know Drive the Deal are doing £3000 off list price which I believe some dealers will match with 0%.

Annoying the Skoda UK website doesn't let you get a finance quote online, even though you can with the VW one. A 5 door Golf GTI with DSG is £352.72 per month over 3 years with £5000 deposit and a final payment of £13,981.20 (before any discounts - I'd be expecting a couple of grand off). Does anyone have any idea how the VRS compares, taking into account lower residual values?

Thanks in advance!

Heavily discussed on one if the other vrs threads if you have a look.

You can get 10.5% off your Golf quote if you push hard.

As far as the comparison goes, the Octavia was about £50 less than the Golf per month, or about £1500 over a 36month pcp term.

The Octavia has massive depreciation, but the Golf has 6.3% apr.

If you were buying cash, the Golf would actually be cheaper over three years despite the higher list price.

Where does this 208 per month come from? I think the guy says above that he got £1000 worth of options for £208... :-)

You've ordered a car and don't know the price, how does that work. Isn't that the main part when ordering a car.

What? I never said that. I got prices and know exactly what ill be paying. Dont know how you came to that with what i put haha.

I told the op to go to the dealer and get a price, the list prices are on the website and the dealer can source pcp prices. Also its very easy to work with them being 0%

It's £208 per month on pcp for 3 years at 10k per year.

It's £208 per month on pcp for 3 years at 10k per year.

That's not too bad at all that. Shows the 0% makes a real difference to the payments

sorry robvrs21,never had a car on pcp or on the old tick before,£208 per month, get that,10k per yer, thats milage yeah?then deposit, which must be high, yes?then you give car back after 3years,or buy it back for agreed fee? is this how it works. sorry to sound like a numpty but always had mobility cars,my superb estate contract is up soon, ive got the hots for a vrs dsg est but not available on mobility, hence the intrest on pcp.cheers paul

Sounds like that 208 per month is with a 5k deposit.

3 options at the end:

1- pay the mgfv money and keep the car

2- hand the car back and walk away, nothing more to pay but no motor either

3- trade the car in against something else - if the car is worth more than the mgfv you get to roll that equity over as deposit on next car

Hope that helps!

Ill explain my current situation hope it helps you understand:

I bought my ml2 vrs last year on pcp with the following sums:

£4500 deposit

10,000 miles per year

£183 per month

£9100 final value

Term: 28months

I have had the mk2 for 13 months and done 16,000 miles (6,000) more than estimated on my pcp agreement. I decided I wanted the new vrs so went to the dealer and they have given me £14500 for mine so the dealer i have bought the new car off will pay my settlement figure and which after the settlement figure gave me £3500 equity in my current car to put towards the new new car then Iv added £2000 cash giving a total deposit on the new car of £5500. Which with it being 0% is not essential but with what I'd earn in bank I thought I'll put more cash in a just reduce my month,y payments.

Pcp is another way of doing nor al finance so basically at the end of the term the dealer pays your car off and gives you whatever is left unless you decide to buy the car off the. At the guaranteed final value.

Hope this helps you.

Exactly basically with pcp in my view all your paying for is the depreciation and if your wanting a new car regularly in my opinion it's best way to go about it.

So for my deal:

£5500 deposit

£208 per month

10,000miles per year

£12050 final payment (irrelevant to me)

3 years free servicing

3 years free breakdown cover

1st year road tax

All you need to pay for is insurance and up to you but I recommend GAP insurance (from a private company) on return to invoice costs me £125 for 3 years.

ha love your motor, sorry, just out of intrest, whats the final value price, although its prob best on pcp just to get another on pcp, also what if like my car,its gets bumped, does this efect your payment.as we all know damaged cars are worth less

rob pcp seems the best option to me then, how did you rate the car.

My car would probably be worth £5K in trade now. or thereabouts.

Wonder if I have £208 a month spare.
