I need to get tyres for 17" Octy wheels for my Fabia and wondering what I should get.

Any opinions would be great.

Thanks

Antony

I would get Uniroyal Rainsport 1's again.

The Yokohama A539's are fine on the pick up, might be a bit soft for the Fabia though,

I voted for Neor's, Spindrifthas them and I think he's happy :D

Although you may find economy goes down as a result of increased happiness

I have the Neros too, although on 16s. Highly recommended! :)

Neros :D

Nero's

Still Neros then :D

Due to cost I think I will be getting Toyo's for now but if I can stretch

Uniroyal rainsports......................**** on

Just had a set of the Toyo T1-R's supplied by mytyres fitted to the Ibiza (205/45/16), too early to say how they perform as I haven't pushed them but they don't squeal going round corners like the old touranza's did.

Khumo Ecsta's are cheap, good grip, wear and less noise

Conti-Sport Contacts. :)

I have them now they are OK i suppose, but have had better.

The vRS seems to be such a neutral handling car that you will probably get away with any decent tyres, my previous front wheel drive cars had lift off oversteer or understeer where the Fabia just seems to drift a little, and roll of course.

the continetal contact 2's on my fabia seem pretty good, but I've replaced factory fit tyres for goodyear F1's on previous cars, and the F1'a are the best I've experienced....

Nero's have completely changed the way my car handles and it's all for the better!!

Toyo Proxy T1R's

Bloody hell this is an old thread I have almost worn ouy the T1's I bought :D

Toyo T1R's get a huge vote from me. Fronts have taken 10k of abuse and are only just down to the wear markers...

As a comparison, my OE Michelin's didn't last anywhere near this long.

The T1R's are MUCH better than the T1S's by the way.

I have T1R's and managed to eat them in a little over 3 months and 3K miles maybe 4K, I think I will try Nero's next.

That said I cannaot fault the T1R's for grip but Custom Code does make them spin even on occasion in 3rd

Toyos get a huge up from me, never had potenzas , but always heard good fron owners with them. Got good year eagle F1 on the front of mine and they seem more than capable as well mind.

I have neros on my Ibiza and they are rubbish. For a high perofrmance tire I was expecting a lot more. Car is very skittish and the first sign of rain, I may as well go to bed. Goodyears are good but if you are going through tires in 3-4k miles then I would go for Federal SuperSteels.

3K MILES!!!!!!!! what are you doing smoking the tyres all the time????

Fronts on my Octy vRS lasted 19K and were changed with around 2.5mm

left!!! Rears have 6mm in 19K......

And i don't hang around either....

cheers
