Totally different factory and this is 97% the same car they've been building since 2009. So no, I can't imagine any delays. They are just fitting new bumpers and a few trinkets. Hardly a sweat.

This is not really the correct thread to discuss that - start a separate one or do a search - but you will only find praise for the Yeti seats.  Especially the electric ones that have even more adjustment.  I can do many, many hundreds of miles in this car and get out the other side as if I had just got in.

I will second that.

You can get the Elegance TDi CR170 however the online builder doesn't show it - However I have no idea of a build week.

WOW!  Finally you can get the internal net partition screen.

It is £120 on the configurator.

It will only be a factory option alas, since it needs the hooks in the ceiling at the back (as shown) and behind the front seats when you move it forward.  It's only been shown in the manual since 2009 but we have never been able to get it.

Indeed...  BUT it looks to be a very fine mesh instead of the normal inch by inch squares...  so it might restrict the view out back a bit.  See page 71 in the manual:

It would have worked better had it looked more like this.

Told over the phone by a dealer today that the offer of sales of the FL at the old (pre-increase) price has been withdrawn, and that all purchases are now at the new (higher) price.  Anyone else heard this?  I understood it ran until the end of the month.

Would that be anything to do with the configurator now being back, I wonder?  -  Showing the new prices.

Just wondering if anyone has actually ordered a "City" version of the FL, as most (like me) seem to be going for the more rugged look of the "Outdoor".

Just checked Skoda Desktop this morning and prices are still Pre-FL prices until 31st October

Morning Dale - welcome to the forum.

I would've done, but the current restricted range on offer from SUK ,excludes everything I wanted to order. :(

Dealer telling me porkies, then!  Thanks.

Time to upgrade your dealer.

After just missing the cut on pre-FL on 2nd Oct I ordered an FL 1.2S Outdoor manual on 15th via www.carfile.net (Jonathan), who referred me straight to a dealer (in Notts).  Old prices for vehicle and options - understood to be until end of Oct.  My choice of options only metallic (Shark Blue), spare wheel + net kit, glasses case and waste bin (not a lot available on S, but can fit after-market reversing aid and mudflaps).  Configurator price £17285, invoice price £14262.  Feeling smug!  None of the pre-reg via finance companies that some internet sites turn out to be.  Addition of leather steering wheel and Maxi-dot to standard S spec (and phone, but didn't need that) is a FL bonus.

17.5% off retail - that is impressive. When I got a quote recently from Car File, for a FL, it was 14% discount (with no 0% PCP Skoda finance), and just 5% with the 0% deal.

Have used Car File before and they are very good though, but the FL Yeti deal did not suit me, as I wanted to take advantage of the 0%//part exchange, and the dealers they send you to do not accept trade ins - at least in the case of the deal I was offered.

However, if you are a cash buyer with no trade, give them a try.

Yeah, Car File Jonathan's a good bloke. Seems a good business. I spoke to him whilst phoning around the dealers and brokers for the best price on mine.

Is it me or can you really now only get the 170bhp diesel engine in the top of the range L & K model. I was thinking of moving up to the Elegance from my SE just for this engine but not prepared to shell out even more dosh for the L & K. The Audi Q3 SE is now looking a lot more appealing!

Just seen a price list and CR170 is available in Elegance and L&K as a manual, but also now available with DSG but only in Elegance.

After sorting out finance i'm going to order through www.carfile.net tomorrow.  I have had good communication in regards to replies to my questions I've asked Jonathan.  Also quick and helpful.  My only headache now is what I add and what I don't add as extra's :)

Car File is an good honest "Old School" broker. Jonathan's Dad (Pat Lawless?) started the business many years ago, and was one of the original car brokers. I always remember his weekly advert in Autocar & Motor, which stated, quite proudly and matter of fact  - "Closed for lunch between 1pm and 2pm". You just know you can trust a man like that.

When I purchased a car through Car File several years ago (VW Sharan), I picked it up from a main VW dealer in Leicester, and was surprised that I had to collect it from their Fleet Sales section. No fancy showroom and pretty girls, just a Porta-cabin stuck out the back. That's how most (if not all) brokers can afford to give these discounts - they operate through the Fleet Market (like the Rental Companies do), and as such, can negotiate the type of discounts we have been used to.

That's the colour I have on order. Great photo and better than most I have seen of the Jungle Green. The Jungle Green on the configurator looks terrible - just hope it looks as good in the metal as in does in this photo. Thanks for posting RapidRonnie.

PS: does look a bit BMW from the front - what do others think?
