Which way round is the track going to be?

I would suggest running in the same direction as everyone else, sorry couldn't resist.

Clockwise as usual. Mind you if we get fed up, who knows.

Surely...you mean driving? Anyone running on the track will be slow and a liability. ;)

This is a good deal...but I cannot confirm my attendance yet.

Any chance of a having mobile tyre fitter in attendance? The Proxes on the front got a bit of wear at Bruntingthorpe - I reckon another trackday might finish them off

I've run this by Des and he's asked me to post it up for everyone.

I looked into some TD insurance today and came back with two possibles.

One definate quote for myself and SWMBO to drive my 2k5 Fabia VRS with a declared value of 13k. Cost of policy including Tax is

Isn't Llandow quite "run off friendly" like Brunters? I remember there being quite a lot of grass there, and no real "hazards" in potential corner/braking zone areas.

AND, to tell the truth, I'm NOT going to be racing beyond my car's limited ability, so feel the risk to me and my car is practically nil, and I also will not be "racing" others on track so hopefully others will feel no risk from me directly. :)

The above is m philosophy on all trackdays with Briskoda, and I always hope its everyone else's too.

Yes , but didn't someone manage to roll an escort at the recent Bruntingthorpe day without going off track?

From what I've heard of that incident it snapped round and dug in, parallel across the grass.

Llandow is safe (ish) Unless your a monkey you would have to do a lot to hit anything there. I'll get a video up..

A lot = don't brake or turn.

It's short and very easy to learn.

I'd consider insurance for somewhere like Oulton or Donnington where a 100+ off is perfectly possible, then again Des has been off on Donnington and drove back on circuit.

The take insurance or not is a risk you seek your self. If it makes you happier then take it out. I'd rarther you took it out and came than not if you see.

I'll get a video out soon of a lap of Llandow, it's driven briskly but no where near the limit of the car.

 Colin. Hope it shows how friendly the circuit is. I felt immensely "safe" going around there in Jon's old vRS, and that wasn't due to his safe driving either - It was just a general sense of "if the 5hit goes down, it looks nice and safe to run off the track"

edited to say the track itself is very wide too, so running off line isn't a problem for the majority of the circuit.

And I've had more close / incidents on roads than tracks...I'd love it if I could walk to work each morning and fly to a track day :D

A track is a wide A road all cars going the same way, treat it as such and you won't exceed your talent or car's ability in a hurry, unless as stated you really don't have any sensory feedback, since most of us are not amoeba's you'll be fine :D

But look into and take it if you want....peace of mind will be worth more :D

There's a nasty reverse camber on the last turn before the pit straight with a tyre wall the other side of quite a short run-off, but otherwise, no real dangers that I recall.
