With no bluetooth text and having a seat leon courtesy car with nav. I am thinking of upgrading my Bolero from my 2010 vrs. Anyone upgraded to the new Columbus 3 or another sat nav system please?

 

Also is the Columbus just the skoda version of the vw 510 with sat nav etc please?

 

Columbus is the Skoda name for the RNS 510.

 

Retro-fit in a 2010 vRS should be quite straightforward, worth also installing a factory BT module if you haven't got one already - you will require some VCDS coding though to make the change.

 

You might find someone local with VCDS willing to help you code it to the car.

Just got vcds so can do it. I have mfsw retrofit too so it feels like a modern car lol shame paddles only for play lol

Just put a new bt module in and I think as my bolero old thats why no bluetooth text etc like a friend gets with his new stereo.

What is a oem Columbus 3 cost please anyone know. Seen some on ebay but not sure if they are stolen or real for about 500 quid?

I recently paid £330 for mine, including delivery. Just needed to buy a GPS antenna for it which was £7 and new trim surround for £57. Bolero out and Columbus straight in. Probably the easiest stereo I've ever fitted.

I do not have the columbus, but I do have a Kenwood DNX 521 DAB system fitted, which is made for the hole.

Works very well and really nice piece of kit but dammed sure I would not pay the price they are advertised for, it is after all only a radio/satnav, not sure if any second hand around though?

Was 330 for new one or second hand.

Second hand on eBay. . Came from a 2012 motor. Bargain!!
