Unfortunately Fridays are a complete no-no as it's wages day at work.

I can take most other days off unless it's a meeting etc...

There is a Road Car Only day on the Monday 10th March, MSV organised but not the cheapest at £199.

Or a General Car track day on Thursday 13th.  Same price.

After events today I asked the powers that be to merge my new (2011 R35) and old (1992 R32) GT-R threads.

So I can keep all my stuff relating to GT-Rs in one place.

 

The reason is a little trip to Nissan this morning...

 

The dealers have not got the MY14 demo cars in yet (my dealer has three MY13 cars to shift...) and my local place will be getting a metallic grey one (boring!).

The demo cars are expected in a week or two.

 

But the GT-R guy very kindly went to West London/Nissan HQ and borrowed the MY14 they have there for press reasons just for a day, which is the new Vermillion Red metallic that has a gold flake in it.

Then he took it back to the dealership to show a couple of interested customers before having to return it.

 

I was the only person who actually turned up.

 

It's very nice...

 

 

 

Interor is not for me though, I like the black.

This reddy brown is a £3,500 extra!!!

Anyway, to cut a long story short there was an intense period of negotiation.

Followed by a bit of a stand off.

Then I put down a deposit.

 

It'll be here late March or early April.

My car budget for 2014 just got absolutely shafted.

Good job I got a discount because the fancy paint is £1,750!

 

My wife is fine about it, but I think I'm still in shock.

She seems happier than I am.

IMO the orange/red interior doesn't suit it (black is a good choice )
