You still haven't added the hyphen to GT-R since you posted that in the general section. :giggle:

  • Right.   I gave myself a good talking to and popped out for a little bonding with the new car.   Holy moley it's even more bonkers than I remember the last ones being. Yes, they have worked a lot

Bugger!  :(

Mental. I can never keep track of all your cars but the purchases that I do see are always incredibly lovely cars!

Yeah I did!

Is there a BossFox car library - a collect of all your car threads? I like reading them... I always think, "that is exactly what I would do if I could."

Calling it green is a bit kind! :D

One thread with a photo of each in chronological order then Richard? :)

Three points.

1. It'll be boring for a lot of people.

2. When people realise how daft I really am I'll probably get flamed.

3. It'll give Brimma too much material for future Meme's...

:D

Haha. Post it quickly then get it locked :D

4. You've had so many, you probably don't remember half of them  :giggle:

This HAS to be done!!!

So will the 2014 GTR have the same imported Brake set up as the Blue/yellow one, power hike?

Or are you going to keep it standard as a " normal " car?

I'm guessing he'll keep it standard

Like I kept my Fabia estate standard

:)

Knowing Richard's ethos it will get a few track inspired upgrades

ABS leak fixed.

Power steering leak sorted.

Now where is that intercooler !?!

The old one had end caps that were too large and would have needed the bumper cut, damaging the stock look.

So having to wait for an alternative before the front of the car can be put back on. :(

How about this one :-

Still no sign of the intercooler...

So we are putting a stock one on.

ECU arrives tomorrow and then I can run it on safe mapping and get some miles on it ASAP.

I need to do 1000 miles or so to bed it in before my first track day (aiming for the 10th March) so this seems the sensible option to actually get the car done and run it in.

Then the uprated intercooler can be fitted later and it can then have the full monty mapping done.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article!

Have you got any plans for the interior or is it all staying OEM?

Cheers Sharpyy

It's being left looking OEM inside, outside and as much as possible under the bonnet.

I'm not even fitting the Nismo aero tweaks most R32 GT-R cars seem to get.

That's the bonnet lip, nostrils in the bumper, extra side spats and spoiler lip.

also serves as a short term "fix" for a silly car

what sort of power will it be running with the standard IC?im guessing it wont be much more than stock due to the extra heatsoak?

Not too much, the stock cars will only do around 400bhp (ish) with an ECU tweak and breathing mods.

They are more capable than people realise as they were effectively de-tuned by Nissan to 280bhp to meet the "gentleman's agreement" Japanese high performace car makers had with the government at the time.

Although they were rumored to be around 300bhp, you just took some intake restricters out upon delivery and remapped for 320-350bhp...

for some of us, 400 BHP will be more than enough!

What can I say, my perspective is completely shot! :(

Don't ever, ever buy an R35.  It messes with your brain.

A few laps around Castle Combe was enough to twist my perspective!
