Difference between standard & colour maxidot

Featured Replies

I have an Elegance and got the colour maxi dot as part of a package. I like it, but I am not sure I would have ordered it separately if it hadn't been part of a package.

The only occasion where I have noticed the colour as something really useful have been 2-3 times where the Front Assist have come up with a warning. It does so by flashing a bright red warning sign that fills up the entire display.

Sounds like it doesn't really make much difference then, and it's just personal preference. I think colour looks smarter but, even though it's only £80, non essential. I'll probably go for it just for the look as I'm not planning to max out on options.

I'd been wondering the same thing as the OP as I'm considering placing an order for an Octavia Estate fairly soon. Sadly we have outgrown our much beloved Fabia

Greenline 2.

I found this thread very useful but I wondered, has anyone with Park Assist got any comments about how clear this looks with either the standard or colour maxidot? Looking at the examples in that link a couple of posts up, I think one was of the PA it it looked much clearer on the colour, but that could just be a marketing job!

I have Park Assist and Columbus SatNav the image on the maxidot is green and it fills all of the screen but nothing on the Columbus screen.

PA is a very neat toy and love playing with it can drive around a carpark for hours will the good lady shops!!

Since both me Mrs RLGL2 hate shopping, I suspect we'll be fighting over who gets to stay in the car park and play!
