Really misty/condensates windows

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, anyone else have this problem on a morning? I drove 5 miles to work today and the windows still weren't de misted they seem really bad ! Seem to be getting worse as the rain has come, don't know if my leaky doors have anything to do with it but it's really starting to get on my nerves !

Thanks a lot guys I'll go purchase myself one tonight and sorting the doors out at the weekend :)

they look something like this, known as a damp trap or moisture trap. Found in the household aisle with the matches, bin bags etc

As well as rear doors leaking isn't there sometimes a problem with the cabin/pollen filter needing to be replaced that sometimes causes misting up?

Check your carpets first and if dry then try that.

+1 pollen filters are peanuts to buy and you'd be amazed at how much crap they accumulate.

Another misty windows thing -Have you Dog in car. If I park for 10- 20 minutes in Asda with litle lass in back, I come back to a steamy car. little miss hot lips. Sometimes leaving a window a tad open with madam in car helps.

I'm uncertain whether or not you are talking about unsavoury acts performed in secluded car parks or if you keep a dog in the car?

I've not looked on swmbo's vRS but agree that checking the pollen filter is a must.

Perhaps someone will advise on drain pipes for the air con / pollen filters, but on every BMW she's ever owned, these also block, moisture / water can't escape and, as Peppa Pig would say, "hey pesto", condensation appears on the windows.

If for no other reason, change the pollen filter anyway, as the crap that it filters out isn't any good for you.
