Race blue or silver

Featured Replies

I am about to order a vRS Hatch but cannot decide on Race Blue or Silver. I have a MK2 vrs in silver at the moment so fancy a change in colour but cannot decide.

Does anyone have a picture of a silver vrs hatch with the black pack on it so I can see what it looks like . Thanks.

Race blue is the vRS colour...!!

I wanted the Steel Grey but they stopped making it

I saw I white one look cool but living in the countryside would stay white long..!!

Too many race blue. Go for the silver. I have a silver mk2 estate, it wasn't my first choice of colours but love it now and think it's one of the best

Silver. Never had a silver car myself.

Race Blue because it is the best..     But silver does look clean even when it is dirty which is a good thing, it doesn't show stone chips and small scratches either...  So silver

Heads or Tales?  :giggle:

Or if you really want to be different and are sick of blue & silver, consider corrida red or rallye green!

The Green is one of my favourites

Race blue is the only colour to have imo.

I should point out that I have race blue and it's lovely.

Obviously race blue hatch is going to be popular as it's the one in the skoda promos as is the candy white estate.

Just a preference really so try the build a car section on the skoda website.

I went for silver as my last car was black and too hard to keep clean.

Go for Race blue. silver is too boring, live a little

I think Race Blue was a really good colour, when it was reserved for the vrs, but as it can now be had on any model in the Octavia range, it is no longer special so perhaps something different?

Personally I went with Candy White and black pack but at the end of the day it is what you want. However, if you told me I can only have Race Blue or Silver, I'd take the Race Blue everytime.

I really like the Rallye Green Metallic although it seems to be a 'Marmite' colour.

Having Rallye Green Metallic or  Yellow..

You need to think.. will you be able to sell it on the 2nd hand market

there be lots of race blues on the road in 2014

If you go for the blue be prepared to join the herds of blue, white and corrida reds that will soon hit the streets. They seem to be the colours (especially white) that 90% of the posters on this sight have gone for.

I have had a yellow mk 1 and a blue mk 2 FL. To be honest I did consider blue again but was disappointed it was available across the models .

So I have gone for the other marmite colour Rio red* without even seeing it in real life and only on the configurator.

* (yes I know that Rio Red is across the models as well but I don't think it will be a common vRS colour).

Here's to every one who have chosen marmites!!!!

VRS

I've ordered a race blue estate. I was tempted by the green but my wife is far more sensible! They had one in at bickertons in Sheffield and to be honest I love the colour and the way it catches the light.

Don't get the green - I like mine to be unique!!

Silver is too subtle for a vRS which isn't exactly loud in stock form.  Green, corrida red or blue are the only way to go, or white if you like washing cars....

Has to be YELLOW, the new Race Blue

^ the most individual colour. No others.

Silver  :sun:

I've bought blue, but should be advocating Silver to preserve the numbers.. BUT.

When you look beyond octavias and to the predominant colour on the road, it's still silver. So in the greater pool of cars blue is rarer! (p.s. go for silver?!      )

The race blue is stunning, but is now old hat really and should have been changed,it used to be the preserve of the vrs, silver is a timeless classic, both excellent colour choices,as said dont rule out rally green my mk2is that colour, but think it looks better on the mk3's,but having said that iv gone for the meteor grey

Meteor grey it's like driving a lump of clay. Yuck.

I like the blue and silver, but agree that the blue should have been vrs only. I was really tempted by yellow, but got one of those LOOKS when i suggested it, so went for blue! :)

Meteor grey should be called primer grey
