I took your advice, and the clips eventually popped out by using my thumb :) Will stick it on during work time tomorrow, way too much fog in Bristol.

  • Probably going to be of limited interest TBH Zeb, mine's more go than show and won't ever get decked on 19s.

  • I get that 100%, I'm trying to make a comparison between the Passat OE fit you referenced and the Octavia OE fit. I've read through the thread and made several posts in it so I know what Zeb is try

  • Depends what size centre bore the Speedlines are.......whatever it is it needs to come down to 57.1 for the Octavia

Not a major update but my Octy has been booked to get the arches roll down on 3rd April, still waiting for tyres, and coilovers should arrive end of this month. I've finally sold my 235's for £100, bought them for £75 :D

Rear Skoda badge doesn't fit on the boot at all, it's way too big. Will have to do something about it as I know Skoda dealer in Bristol won't be able to help. DUMBASSES!

Finally my 225 arrived today, will fit them to the wheels tomorrow than on my Octy. Still waiting for coilovers, and I fitted my rear Skoda badge :)

Would I need to get it aligned or shall I wait when my coilovers arrive?

I wouldn't have thought that the alignment of the badge would be affected by the coilovers  ;)

Don't bother getting your alignment done until you've fitted your coilovers.

LOL Haha nice one Brimma ;) Well I got my wheels fitted today, next up up coilovers then arch roliing :D No worries, will do the alignment when coilovers are fitted. Wheels need a good polish, but will get all that done once everything is done and fitted. I will repaint the calipers in different color, what color should I paint them in?

Good luck with that :D

Now you got me worried :( Have you booked your Octy in to roll down arches, yet?

End of May but there doing the rear badge recess and possibly painting the wheels while it's there.

Don't be worried lol.

  • Author

Lol phew, I thought not another disaster for keepin it low. That's a long way to go I thought you'll be getting them done sometime in April?

He's fully booked up till then unfortunately.

There's not a lot more to go without it being undriveable tbh. I can't do speed humps now, little scrape if I catch getting on the drive wrong. Our lass has scuffed the front bumper on a kerb aswell lol

  • Author

Damn, I guess you have no choice but to wait till May. I've got speed humps all over the place plus I park on the pavement, now I have to park elsewhere so I won't kerb my wheels.  Ouch! How bad is the damage?

I took a few pics today after a jet wash still need to polish her up but will have to wait till everything is fitted.

Looks good after a clean, Zeb. :)

  • Author

Cheers :)

O/S rear wheel lip looks pretty damn tired, so will have to get someone to re-polish it professionally, all the other I can live with. Next week my coilovers arrive, then the week after is rolling down the arches :)

Like them speedlines mate. They the one inch lip version?

  • Author

Thanks :)

They are 19x9J all round.

  • 2 weeks later...

Got my arches rolled down today, and gave it a good polish yesterday. Confirmation from Demon Tweeks my coilovers will arrive early next week, after a 4 week wait they are finally arriving.

Will take pics of the arches rolled down today.

Why only the fronts? Gonna have hell on with the rears. Did they flare them?

  • Author

Yeh, only the fronts the rears looked fine as it is, so thats why I never did all of them. My coilovers arrive early next week so once its slammed then I'll decide and go from there. The guy couldn't stretch more of the arches out cause it would've distort the panel and would've looked horrific.

It's the rears that are gonna give you grief. You won't be able to slam it. Mine catch and yours are an inch bigger

  • Author

I'm going to see if I can adjust cambers on the rears, if not then I will buy Lloyds 215's.

  • Author

After all that F'in wait, thanks to Demon Tweeks they said my coilovers will arrive next month in May. So, I cancelled the order and bought Pro sport coilovers from DPM Performance Damian today.

I am never ordering anything from Demon Tweeks ever again!  Unreliable service, bunch of flippin liars.

Sorry to hear that zeb. They were very good when I ordered from them. Hopefully will all get sorted now you've ordered from DPM.
