  • Probably going to be of limited interest TBH Zeb, mine's more go than show and won't ever get decked on 19s.

  • I get that 100%, I'm trying to make a comparison between the Passat OE fit you referenced and the Octavia OE fit. I've read through the thread and made several posts in it so I know what Zeb is try

  • Depends what size centre bore the Speedlines are.......whatever it is it needs to come down to 57.1 for the Octavia

Some update, so far I got my HID's fitted 5000K and fitted the new shiny badge :) I will fit the rear badge today or tomorrow. Hopefully I should receive my coilovers this week, and will be fitted next week. Found a pair of 225/35/19's so might buy them online today, again they are part worn tyres but at a later date I will buy new set of Nankangs NS2 or Falken tyres.

I really need to get my self a set of HID's. Look forward to seeing it on the coilovers. How low you thinking of going Zeb?

It took me 2 months to fit them, was too lazy to fit but finally got round to it. I'm gonna go all the way down with my 19's on, if it rubs then I will go adjust them to right position. How much do garages charge to fit coilovers?

No idea. My friend is a mechanic/MOT tester. He only charged me £60 iirc.

What?!?!? £60 to fit coilovers? That's flippin cheap i just got a quote for around £100+ today.

Coming along nicely, Zeb. Interested to have a light-off with mine to see how they stack up....

Have you asked streetwise how much to fit and align?

Fit em yourself.

Also that grille needs colour coding ;)

Should have suggested that before he fitted the new badge   :(

Thanks guys :)

I will get the front grill resprayed sometime next month. Nope, haven't been to Streetwise yet will make a visit when my coilovers arrive. I have no garage nor the space to fit my coilovers :(

£100 + the cost of alignment is cheap.

Just got another quote from SJ Concepts based in Newport, £100 cash and £50 for 4 wheel alignment. Think I will get the coilovers fitted from SJ Concepts, as I've been going to them for a good few years.

Wow, labour is cheap in your neck of the woods.

Well.....Yes :D How much is it near your area?

I've ordered the correct tyres for my rear wheels :D

Whats the estimated delivery time on the coilovers?

  • Author

Well...spoke to demon tweeks and they said it will take another 7 days for them to deliver cause H&R don't have them in stock  :swear:

Hard Luck, Never mind, another 7 days want hurt.

I suppose so :( As they say patience is a virtue :) On the other hand I took the old green badge off from the boot, however another blimmin problem. The new rear badge has 3 clips sticking outwards, and on the boot there's only 2. I have to get the Dremel kit out and remove them.

What a bitch thing to do!

Edited by Zuhayb

You should just be able to break the clips off with your thumb. Did you give Skoda the part numbers from the badges thread - ending AUL and AAUL? They are a direct replacement.

Yes the part numbers at the start of that thread are the correct ones.

Just dug the boxes out the part numbers are;

5JO 853 621 A AUL

5JO 853 621 AUL

Yep, I gave them the part no. like 5 times but still they gave me the wrong ones. Bristol Skoda is one of the ****test customer service I've ever come across. After 5 attempts within 2 weeks I gave up, they all were unhelpful and all of them looked miserable. They can shove my old badges up there....A**! Going to remove the clips now with my dremel kit.

Can't you just break them off?
