  • Probably going to be of limited interest TBH Zeb, mine's more go than show and won't ever get decked on 19s.

  • I get that 100%, I'm trying to make a comparison between the Passat OE fit you referenced and the Octavia OE fit. I've read through the thread and made several posts in it so I know what Zeb is try

  • Depends what size centre bore the Speedlines are.......whatever it is it needs to come down to 57.1 for the Octavia

Get em on stop being boring. :)

I'm with brimma hence why I haven't ordered yet as I know I will not be able to resist temptation and stick them on.

When I fit them il either be on the hunt for zeniths for winters or use my LE's. But I think 17" would be better..... Want want want.

I still think, and this is just my opinion, but the majority reason why people opt for a 16" or 17" winter tyre comes down to cost. I've been running 18" winters with, as far as I can tell, no compromise in winter performance. By the time you've bought a set of 17s and the tyres, you might as well have bought the 18s.

I doubt we'll see any properly bad weather now and I think we've had the last of the salt. Get 'em sealed and get 'em on!! :)

As soon as I receive my tyres and spigots I will fit them straight away :)

I think standard Passat wheels were Borbet style 17', 7.5J, ET43? I've ordered a set of tyres for the fronts x2 225/35/19, I'll see how that fits and looks. As for the rears, I will fit 235/35/19. 1 more thing, what spigot rings would I need for my Speedlines? Spigots rings never came with the wheels.

Test fit 225/35R19 tyres and your rims in the back first. 235/35R19 won't fit.

Bare in mind when you compare Passat and Octavia chassis, they are not based on the same platform. It's the same like you would compare Golf V and Audi A4...

I should get my 225/35/19 x2 hopefully tomorrow, I do have one 235/35/19 fitted on one of the wheels just waiting for spigots rings to arrive, then I will do a trial test.

Cause it's lowered on springs, I'm thinking there should be enough space for me to fit 235/35/19's on the rear. I always thought Passat and Octavia have similarly the same chassis, as it's owned by VW.

You could trial fit one without a spigot ring Zeb, just don't drive on it.

Take a picture of the trial fit with that 235/35R19 tyre.

I'm basing my knowlegde on this setup that i had on my on Octavia: 9x19" et41 with 235/35R19; https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-mPO0TGDhsVE/UW7bKcliyZI/AAAAAAAAATo/BrPagjF8qzw/w389-h584-no/IMG_2208.JPG

Have now 225/35R19 fitted because 235 was rubbing hard...

Boooooo!

Why ain't you fitting then now?

Why ain't you fitting then now?

The ET was too low..............you have been warned

After speaking to SNH I might roll down the arches. I've dropped an email to EnemeyArch, if all works out then I will get my arches done. The wheels will be on hold for now, might fit them on this weekend, and take out the ****ty Eibach springs and fit coilovers.

Pics of how the car looks :(

Good news, I've booked my car in to get my arches rolled down and flushed. I've spoken to Enemy Arch and they said they can do it, and will come to Bristol to sort it out :) I will be putting my Eibachs on sale, there only 5 days old still have box will clean them up before it goes on sale. H&R Tube Kit Coilovers is what I'm looking to get, hopefully things should be sorted this month.

Good news don't forget to get them flared slightly

Slightly? Hit one bump with the wheels on full lock and the fenders are totaled. This will come even more of a problem when he's going to lower the car with coilovers.

Ordered them coilovers yet :D
