hello came to my car a few weeks ago and boom 3 inch of water in foot well so i drive to morrisons and use their hoover to get all the water out. so i felt above and found it really wet then also in the engine bay right where the bonet hinge is. so i used sealent to sort out where i thought it was coming from etc then notice my front windscreen in the corners the seals was coming off a bit so sealed that up. thought i sorted it then noticed the other day a little puddle ( by the way happens on both side depends what side of the road i park on) thought i crap what can it be. looked everywhere and cant find out but if i park on a down hill all fine however i notices the carpet behind the driver side gets wet when i do that so a no win really :/ plus linking to my other topic put egr bank plate and still getting power problems: link: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/296494-19d-pickup-power-problem/

Get new window screen rubber and have window screen sealed I have same problem with fun at the min but I have rust problem on mine

i think it may be coming from under the carpet as well :/

The windscreen rubber seal is leaking, I had same problem with my 1999 GLXI 1.6.  New seal supplied and fitted and sealant applied, £80.  Windscreens Direct, the fella took 30mins to do it.  Only thing to bear in mind is, the old screen can break when it is removed as it has been sitting in the same position since the car came out of the factory.  Be prepared to cough up for a new screen if it does, mine didnt, I didnt ask the bloke how much for a new one.  But he had brought one just in case.  Car is now bone dry in passenger footwell, and fusebox is no longer slightly moist (unlike my wife!)  Message me if you are in the SE London area, I will give you his mobile number.
