I ordered a VRS TSI at the start of October and have recently had my provisional build week moved forward from week 13 to week 6. I guess someone somewhere must have cancelled, or perhaps Skoda purchased more whips.

Mines a TSI too.  red combi with black pk, Canton, Amundsen, Spare, Heated seats. Don't think any of them have affected build time.

Good news is it had been bough forward to wk12! Fingers crossed it will come down again.

Just posted another thread on once the build week has been assigned an idea on time to delivery.

 

I'm not happy, call me impatient but I ordered on the 2nd October, and being told end of Feb for build when the original quoted delivery was tomorrow. I'd factored in a bit of extra time but will be carless by the end of Jan so a pain the ass.

 

In hindsight I'd not have bothered.

Just ordered mine, VRS Estate TDI Manual box, candy white, canton, black pack, sunset glass & winter pack some of comments i'm reading i should have it ready for next winter! Dealer said April/May fingers crossed then.

I'm in France and we have the same problem.

I order my vRS estate tdi dsg on the first week of december and it will be delivered on the middle of september 2014 !

I ordered this week as was told that the build lead time is 21 weeks. 3 days earlier he told me it was 18 weeks so it'd changed dramatically in only a few days. Hoping for late April /early May.

These seem to be moving forward now. I ordered 17 Nov vrs tdi no funny extras. Was told bw4 have just had email from dealer to say being built w/c 7 Jan delivery 1st week feb! 

Superb if that pans out for all of us... My 16 Dec order would be ready to collect 1 March!

Just to bring some festive cheer, there does seem to be a fair amount of movement in the right direction for vRS builds. Just had an update from the dealer that I am on the system for a week 3 build (ordered 28th October) with delivery about 3 weeks later (North Sea weather permitting!) Of course, this is not confirmed, but everything crossed that I will get that magic status 20 when our Czech friends get back to work after New Year!

 

The dealer also said that all new orders are being told a minimum of 16 week wait as they are working desperately to clear the backlog. Looks like Skoda seriously misjudged the demand for the vRS, especially from the UK...

When I went in to check on my BW, the dealer said that the demand for VRs's is much greater than anticipated. Skoda were expecting around 20/25% of orders to be VRs, apparently its nearer 50% of Octavia orders! He also said that company car orders would be stopped, so as retail cars only would be built. Bit of a balls up by Skoda if it's true!!

 

Currently i'm still BW3 (ordered 31 Aug), hopefully with the factory closing for Christmas today, that won't change

Spoke to the dealer today regarding mine (ordered 28 Oct - vRS tdi Hatch - Red with black pack, sunset glass, colour maxidot, Cruise Control and spare wheel) and no provisional date,

So will be built next year at some point. I did, jokingly say 'Looks like it will be a 14 plate', dealer said he hoped not. Told him that if it arrives mid Feb, I will want it delaying until March - not a problem was the response.

Ordered mine vRS end of October (candy white, diesel, estate, manual). Just been given a build week of 14!!! Total of 26 weeks. Like you I was expecting to be driving it now.

Extras - Sunset glass, cruise control, black pack & a spare. Not much to get excited about there.

Skoda are not making many friends - disappointed seems a bit weak!!! Everyone you speak to expects this time to be reduced but a 6 month delivery time not really acceptable.

Completely agree. Ordered my vRS Hatch 3rd October and told 16 weeks to delivery. Phoned the dealer last week and told build is week 2 not very happy so phoned Skoda customer services. Made me more unhappy as they checked for me and my build date is provisionally week 5.

I didn't however expect it to be as long as I'm now being told!

I wasn't getting anything from the dealer so I phoned SUK last week and was told mine was set for build week 10 of 2014 but that if I phoned this week, they would have more info as they were "dropping Vrs's into the manufacturing schedule more frequently.

This week, I've been told BW 20!

I've got a guaranteed price on a px but it's not much comfort at the moment.

I ordered most options and I assume at least one is causing them problems.

I orderd on 20th September, I was told the 12-13 week wait. I didn't hear nothing from the dealer for a few weeks so I called SUK, they said my car had a build week of 15. It's moved a few times (wk 10, wk 8, wk 6) but got a phone call from the dealer saying it's confirmed at Wk2. Your build week will definetly move down.

Dont worry, over past 3 weeks mines moved from wk 12 to wk 7 (ordered 3rd Sep)

Least you have one, rang SUK a week ago they said wasn't accepted by factory yet - and to ring back Mid-January for information!

Ordered 2nd Oct. So when you guys detail provisional build week, I'm assuming this just means dealers best guess - not a SUK date?

 

Also agree with comments over different statuses - which all again point to the distinct lack of a fair, electronic order tracking system!

It's beyond a lottery now hearing all these orders move forward!

Just went into Sparshatts of Fareham.

Saw 2 race blue vRS' with protection on ready for prepping. They must have just been delivered.

Do they belong to anyone on here?

Also in the car park was a white vRS with the 19" extremes fitted. First time I've seen them in the flesh. I might get some as they are perfect for the car.

Ordered a 4x4 a few days before and likewise was given Jan for delivery. Spoke to the dealer last week and they have revised delivery to March :S

 

Mind at least that makes it a 14 plate

Ordered a vRS Hatch today with most of the options list, quoted 20 weeks, maybe a bit sooner if lucky....

What's the best number for SUK?  I ordered mine November 7th, but dealer has advised no confirmed BW as yet.  Would be nice to know if order has been accepted.  Was expecting car for March 1st, but starting to get nervous....
