No i don't have this problem as i changed my covers last year for nice shinny new black leather ones..........

infact theses are mine.......

Good news!!!!

I've now had the front seat covers on my 55 reg VRS with 29k replaced under warranty by Dutton Forshaw of Maidstone. They took some photos, emailed their warranty department and had a reply for me within a couple of days. Job done!

They have also cured my knocking noise which was a gearbox mounting issue.

It wasn't all rosy as the workmanship was so-so and they damaged a piece of trim which they are going to replace, but at least my little Furby is a damn sight better than before!

The service guy at my other local dealer to me was a complete **** and wasn't even interested in submitting a request for the seat covers! He also said the knocking was a shock absorber. 'kin hopeless and I won't be using or recommending them to anyone, that's for sure!

Next job is tuning. Hopefully there is someone local to me who can advise. Will post a message in the right section later.

where do i stand i have a second hand 55 plate on 28k bought from woodheads in blackpool. It came with a warranty i was told it would have the remaining manufactures warranty then skoda`s used car warranty to cover the differance to make it 3 yrs in total from new. it was registered in oct 05 but will run out in november 08 so an extra month

This might be just a coincidence. But I have just had a new windscreen fitted following a rock being thrown up by a lorry's wheels hitting it, which left a small chip, which after a few days became a long crack and was growing. The screen was replaced last week, and yesterday I discovered the seat was not responding to the controls. I cannot see any fuse listed in the owner's manual which states it supplies power to the seats. The driver's seat is working as usual, which made me think it must b

Hi all, I noticed a few forums posted over a decade ago, but unfortunately didn't seem to relate. I've got an issue where the cd auto changer had a fault. I pressed the eject button which spat the magazine out. I checked over the cds and everything seemed fine. After reseating the mag, the stereo no longer recognises the magazine, and says "no magazine". Since then I've tried to eject the mag, but had no luck. Has anyone had any issues with this? I removed the autochanger in the idea of fitt

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

Hi Everyone, I have been investigating how I can replace the decorative trim pieces on the console of the O4 (see attached picture (version I would like). The easy part has been figuring out the general part numbers, however I get stuck on the specifics. Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they?
