New Vrs

Featured Replies

Ordered mine last week - Black for me.

I've got a 150bhp 1.8T Passat at the moment but the wife was always complaining that I wanted to drive her Leon Cupra, so she suggested I get a vRS - Top woman!

Spoke to my local dealer also about their views on engine modifications and they said they can't see anything wrong as they'd chipped up a couple in the past - Woo Hoo!

Mother-in-law lives in Stamford so will be paying her a visit once I've bedded the engine in:D

:bigcrowd:

Come join the Black vRS fun! Hurrah - good choice.

BTW - You'll need thick skin to protect you from the envious comments of the 4x4 owners here ;)

well done, welcome... and we home to see you out for a blast on thursdays!:D

Same engine, plus Audi Haldex transmission, multi-link rear suspension and side airbags on the 4x4 :D

What's there to be jealous of apart from better brakes, lack of roll, sports seats and a chrome tail-pipe ? ;)

Welcome 100MPH+

A good choice indeed !!

Did you go for the Hatch or estate ??

I have the hatch & to be totally honest it is not the easiest thing to carry bikes around in (unless both wheels out then placed in a bike bag).

Looking at the avatar it looks as though the pic was taken in competition, DOB 1962, guess that makes you a Vet then ??

Whats the DH Bike ??

Graham

Looks a bit like one of those beefy Orange DH bikes - from what I can make out on the avatar. nice big discs on the front... :D

OK. Let's have the name of a 4X4-owning Briskoda member who would prefer a vRS. thinks.gif

100MPH+ you racing at Whalley nab the w/e?

...much as I love my big wobbly ambulance, the vRS is a superior car in every way and I really really wish I'd bought one...

Case in point I think... :D

Rob.

Very clever, Rob. My question stands.

But then, who of the vRS owners would want a 4x4? :)

Everyone's got too much pride!

Colin wishes he had and RS or a SeatLeon both fwd with more power/style

i would like a 4x4 vRS but not a 4x4.. and i would want one with a rwd bias not fwd bias otherwise its just a truck.

Hi and welcome to Briskoda!

Yes I've said I'd rather havea rs over a 4x4, but my reasons are mis quoted :D Just need to add more bits to my 4x4, then I'll be happy. Another Warrington driver whoohoo, thats 3 I now know of, they had a WRC (they = dealer) chipped up with APR, same as I have had done.

Indeed, almost time for a Thursday night out of Daresbury I think. If your ever on the A49 and see a low estate pottering then feel free to wave :D

sorry if i misquoted you Col, :o but i knew you had basically said that RS drivers are more sexually potent than 4x4 boys (except Ian "pregnant at 20 pace" Cooke)

I went for the hatch, I have a wheel support rack for the bike, the boot gets filled with spares, tools & camping gear!

Yeh, I'm in the Vet category and it's a Santa Cruz V10 with 8" Hydr disc brakes, 10" rear travel, 7.5" front travel.

ffelan, where or what is Whalley nab?

I race in the Scottish Series and the National Points Series but we're always on the lookout for places to train & play. We usually go to Nantmawr, Nannerch or up to Innerleithen to train plus Coppull BMX track for jumping practice!

1oomph+ i have a cannondale f2000 and jekyl nice to see some more bikers about

Surely that should read bisexually potent or, alternatively, sexually impotent. NB In both cases the word more is superfluous. Take you pick!

you'd have to ask the wife;)

Or Jon and the wife? ;)

Welcome to Briskoda.

Take no notice -- vRS rulez -- especially in Black Magic :D
