Wheel Colour Choice.......

Featured Replies

Getting a price today from a local workshop for getting wheels (18" Zeniths) refurbished, my dilema is colour choice.........

1 - standard silver

2 - hi gloss Black

3 - high gloss gun metal grey

At the moment I'm swaying towards the gloss black, your thoughts?

What colour is the car?

Gunmetal for me.

Gunmetal for me.

Car is a silver vrs estate, plan on lowering it a tiny bit to reduce arch gap.

Out of the 3 I'd go gunmetal.

Gunmetal.

Check out pictures of mine. Silver estate with anthracite wheels. Personally, I love it.

Actually, here you go.

On vRS silver, I personally would go with Hi Gloss (or even Hi Power - inners black, outsides silver).

I've tried black and grey and think silver looks the best although the car above looks pretty good.

I will now change my mind. Silver wheels look better on a silver car.

Silver. Black now looks common.

High Gloss Black.

gunmetal :)

Fad colours will come and go - OEM silver would be my only personal choice.

I've been having the same dilemma, but on a bright red Octy, so am thinking anthracite or gun metal as silver just doesn't do it for me, but black seems like overkill. Any thoughts?

Gun metal. I plan on getting mine done in a couple of months (When SWMBO has finishes scaping them up and down the kerbs) LOL.

What about matt black?

Just a comparison of mine, really only silver and black to look at:

And what matt black looks like when it's dirty

I like the gunmetal colour but im not so sure on a silver car :bandit: ,not a fan of the black wheels either so for me on a silver car id stick with the standard silver.

I went gunmetal on a black car and I like it, but part of me wishes I stayed silver I have to say. Not that relevant as my car is black but just my two pence worth.

Be brave Get a colour on them.

Well after much searching and perving on other rims I have mine booked in on Friday to have the wheels done

I'm going for "Moondust silver with extra flake" I wanted the brightest silver possible and this fits the bill! pick up the car on Saturday morning and its costing £160 from a local paintshop

will pop some pics up when they're on.

We got ours done smoked chrome. It's similar to the anthracite pictures above. Looks good on race blue vrs.

Ok so its at the spray shop, I caved under pressure and done a colour change!

Pick it up tomorrow :-)

Will look nice.

Moondust isn't the brightest though. Someone on here had there's done in Audi Silver can't remember the paint code L1H something or other. They looked great so I did a test on 2 identical Astra wheels and the Audi silver was much brighter.

Moondust is still bright though

lookin forward too sein the results. i too have a silver vrs estate. i do like black but think it is too common now. shiny wheels on a clean silver car looks great!
