Opinions Needed - Grill Surround Colour

Featured Replies

Right then, I'm after some opinions.

I've got an '08 vRS in Race Blue and want to vinyl wrap the chrome grill surround.

I'm thinking Either Gloss Black, Matt Black or 4D Carbon Fibre (not to sure if this would look a bit to tacky tho)

Which I the above do you all think would look the best?

Thanks,

Dave.

The same colour as the car..

I'm not to sure about blue for the grill, I think it might be a bit too much. I would also have to paint it for a good colour match, the good thing with vinyl is I can remove it in the future if I want.

Has any one got any photos of their car with painted/wrapped grills?

i did mine last weekend...sprayed it using plasti dip...matt black.looks good & u can remove it if you dont like it...

Do you have any pics to post up so I can get a look, I'm kind of leaning towards the Matt Black finish.

I like Chrome so would keep the Chrome Grille

However, if pushed, I would have it in the colour of the car

matt black looks cool with tinted glass and smoke black/grey alloys. thats what i'm aiming to do this year.

That's where I think I'm going - tints & black wheels (maybe gloss).

Just need to find somewhere close to Kidderminster to paint the wheels.

Matt black is pants, colour coded is where it's at, mine wrapped in red :)

_redders_ I like!

Where did you get that from?

We got our grill surround colour coded the same race blue as the car at a local bodyshop. Looks much better.

Did mine last year, used an orbital sander on the chrome, etch primer, race blue and lacquer and much to my surprise its stayed on! car looks far better for it.

Hi Summer, any chance you could post a pic of it in blue?

They'd all look a little tacky, in my opinon.

For me, colour coded is the only way to go.
