If the A/C pump is the same as a V6 Golf, I will have one sitting spare soon, I think Trevor took his off the Bora he had too, might work for you.

What will happen to it if you do purchase it?

I have no idea. :giggle:

Ohh god :giggle: the A8 won't replace FGF will it?

I don't blame him and agree with the lad :)

Unlikely, my five year old today told me the green Fabia is his favorite car... because it's a funny colour.

Besides, I'm not doing tip runs in the A8.

when the rear seats are completely out, there's quite a lot of room for all the garden waste and empty boxes etc in the back of a little Fabia :)

Mine has helped me move house about 5 times without removing the back seats. ;)

  • 3 weeks later...

Have been seriously considering putting the VRS lump and box from Pasty's Red Fabia in the Fantasy Green Beast for a few weeks, but looking into the costs of getting sensible power (220bhp+) with supporting mods it's looking like this "closet" VRS idea is going to be a PITA and more expensive than planned.

I'd want to do it properly, so it's quite a bit in parts and I can easilly see me spending £4k+.

So I've decided to use what I already have laying around, in the form of the Ibiza 1.8t.

Going to do this myself so it's going to take a while.

Fortunately one or two Briskoda folf are willing to lend a hand.

That's right, Briskoda is going to get another slow burning, long term Fabia 1.8t project... :peek:

Only this time done by someone that doesn't have a clue. :D

Get in there! Will the wrc kit be making an appearance?

I'll probably keep it stealthy TBH.

Nice! Better remove the Ibiza off ebay ;)

Which FGF you using? The donor or the sorted one?

Edited by Toxicvrs

Hehe I like that plan. Hopefully with the Ibiza being a similar size to the Fabia the looms won't need so much splicing

If I'm ever in the area, I'll come give you a hand.

However, when I've described your projects to my housemate, he said.. "So he's like you.... only with money?"

My level of knowledge isn't good.... but im not afraid to give it a go.

The Comfort spec one that's a runner and I already have the V5c for.

Otherwise I'll end up running two of them... :wonder:

Well done Richard for giving it a go, you won't believe the sense of satisfaction when you achieve something on the project. even with the seemingly small aspects. Major milestones like the first engine start or first tentaive drive are awesome. There will be challenges along the way, don't let them grind you down or make you give up, overcoming them is part of the sense of achievement. If I can help in any way please let me know.

^ a man speaking from experiance haha.

and not to mention the overwhelming joy when you sell it! :P

look forward to seeing how it goes!

Think I've just bought a 320bhp hybrid K04 set up too... :S

From the TT? That should be a right hoot! Hope you're fitting improved suspension etc so it handles too!

Overwhelming relief Taylor.. :D

I just didn't fancy the idea of having upwards of £30k tied up in a ditchfinder...
