Ah maybe this all makes sense... being from Essex and all... did Richard have his first time in the back of a peppermint Capri?

Unlikely, I've never even driven a Capri. ;)

Was the VHK prefix the same as the silver capri in the professionals and possibly the gold one too? :nerd:

Edit - Yes it was and also with at least one Cortina

My dad always called them the pratmobile as per Only Fools and Horses.

But I do think they are quite cool ;)

But back to FGF related news new oil pressure sensor and thermostat has been ordered so work will commence on the estate soon :D

VHK prefix plates seems to be common for Ford Press Office cars in the '70's, not unlike OY & OE prefix plates

used by VAG press fleet cars in more recent times.

Similar story with management cars, EO for Ford & KU for VAG.

So my Octy, KU, could have been a car owned by management before it went into the dealer network for the previous owner to buy it?

Explains the sunroof and parking sensors.

Quite likely, my KU plate Superb has Skoda UK as the 1st registered keeper.

Judging by the data left in the SatNav it lived in Cheshire & had travelled to a few

posh hotels in it's 5k miles with Skoda!

Could there be another Fabia vRS SE making its way onto this thread.........?!?! :giggle:

That's a well priced SE for sale... but who needs a Race Blue VRS when you could have Fantasy Green !!!

Yesterday i was fiddling around with the FGF Estate, I found it had No Thermostat what so ever...

So Fitted a new one (comes in its housing and with a new Coolant Temp Sensor), fitted in 5 minutes and Also changed the oil pressure sensor.

This car is slowly growing on me, even the colour..........

I need help!

The estate is the best of the lot, especially in that colour. You're coming to your senses, Taylor! :D

Thing is they are all relatively cheap parts :) you could go to the shops with a fiver, buy a pint of milk come back and still have change to fund an engine overhaul :P
