Looks the wrong colour to me.

I couldnt resist playing with the dials, here is the current state i have them in:

 

Ignition (Key on)

Full, Dip and Rear Fog light test

Fuel Gauge sweep (bad potentiometer so it was tricky to go to zero) & Fuel Light

Oil Pressure

Handbrake light (i toggled a few times)

Coolant Warning ( Didnt work, need to check my wiring)

Brake fluid warning

Ignition Off.

 

Coolant Gauge, and the Tacho is driven by the CAN Bus

 

I havnt got around to digging out my Function generator to test the Speedo

 

headphone users, be warned, the beeps are loud  and please excuse Absolute Radio in the background

 

Found a bonnet and tailgate, light ones!

Waiting on driveshafts and engine/gearbox bracket to fit it.

If I'd realised what a faff it was I'd rather have bought a Polo and tuned the engine than get a tuned engine and spend weeks messing about/waiting for bits.

They're taking a while to arrive :( normally the way, spend more time waiting on parts

i reckon two people in a day could have the engine in place, gear linkage, Rad panel on, boost pipes semi routed. 

 

Two days to tidy up loose ends and so on and it would definitely be ready for wiring!
