Thinking of buying a vrs, tips?

Featured Replies

Pretty much what the title says. Does anyone have any tips as far as looking into buying a 2007 limited edition vrs with the black leather seats and all that stuff. Just fed up of not being able to really do anything with my little 1.2 puppy, also the colour doesn't make me want to do anything to it. So yeah, any tips for what I should look out for?

One for a sensible price for starters.

Just make sure it's clean and tidy.

Considering they only cost £12,500 new I can't believe they are still selling for around £7,000 after nearly 7 years!

I paid £7,495 for mine in Oct 2012.

Full Skoda service history.

Service, water pump and cam belt done with bill to prove showing at over £700.

Had 52k on it when I got it.

I'm glad I paid the extra for the SE. It gets rarer all the time. And if it's looked after it will last forever lol.

Things to look for are the main things really. Wishbone bushes, rear doors leaking, mileage/cam belt history.

And make sure the oil has been changed regularly!! Then it'll go on forever.....:) hopefully......

Only if it's been changed with the correct grade oil lol.

Loads of things to look for tbh and quite a few threads to search but as stated console bushes, turbos, Dmf, leaking rear windows, power steering problems, regular servicing with correct oil etc
